No, it's not live. BBSpy really have a guy at Elstree. There's even pictures on the website. It's not a question of trust. This sort of thing has been happening for years. We had pictures of Mario & Lisa going in two years ago about half an hour before the show even started.

They don't fool a lot of people. Most people know all things 'live' aren't live. Most are delayed, even things like GMTV aren't 100% live, they are about 15 secs delayed. That means they can edit out something inappropriate.

The crowds are to leave the studio set by 1045pm, reason being a few years ago at a multiple eviction the police received several calls from local houses which were disturbed by the noise of the crowd after 11. The exits from the House set goes through a housing estate. Elstree Studios werent prosecuted for breach of the peace, but could have been, now they insist BB has the public cleared from eviction set well before 11pm.

There are very few live events on either TV or even Radio now following a few events where live commentators TV and radio presenters(Chris Moyles and Edith Bowman to name two) have sworn live on air, the BBC and most other TV broadcasters have adopted recommended guidelines by OFCOM etc, which allows a 15 minute time frame beween the event and the actual transmission. This allows duty producers to review and if necessary censor by bleeping anything offensive immoral or illegal.

Even radio shows like Chris Moyles breakfast show are recorded 15 minutes early. (the studio clock and the clock on his computer are set exactly 15 minures early, so when its transmitted time is correct to the listener. Incidentally its probably how Derren Brown was able to predict the lottery draw, it being drawn in front of a live studio audience and presenter then broadcast 15 minutes later
