Hello world, I would like to say I am big fan of this forum. We say whats on our minds in various ways. Like giving our opinions on a topic and if there is some profanity in there then so be it, because most of us are adults and do not need mollycoddling from Mods. If we think someone on this forum is being a dickhead or that person's topic is stupid, then if that person cannot back up their topic with anything logical then they deserved to be criticised.

I know many of us have been banned from DS cos we like to express myself, please MODYS don't change this forum into some sort of communist dictatorship. Nothing worse than censorship.

I hate censorship but rules is rules and if I can say the same thing without breaking the rules then no biggy. Some of the Mods are a bit over zealous to say the least though and I wonder whether they all have the forums best interests in mind or whether they are just using their moderating powers to promote their own views and biassed opinion.

Give me a break. The central subject matter of this forum is Big Brother - a trash TV show full of sexual discussion, agression and crude language. If the central subject matter of the forum is not a family friendly why does the site have to be?

What do twelve and thirteen year old members bring to this forum? For the most part, with the odd exception here and there, they are far too overzelous and immature to be using forums. Especially this forum which is evidently not a family friendly forum.

So then why bend over backwards to censor long term, older members in order to accomodate a very small group of people who come on once in a blue moon to make posts like 'i lik big bruv do u tink it shud stay?'.

The moderating on this site is a lot less harsh than it used to be but I really don't see the need to censor swear words. If you censor the swear word, everyone reading it will know what your intention was anyway thus validating it as even more of a pointless exercise!

The real problem with this site is blatant trolls and people who are clearly unfit to be browsing public forums, who are never going to contribute anything but trouble, not being banned yet.

I am not attacking people personally, I just do not want to be restricted. I feel many of us with different opinions make this forum the way it is. There are crazy, nice, polite, humble, stupid, vile people on this forum and personally I would not want them gone, regardless of the difference in opinion. Also many of us like the banter, what is a forum without banter and taking the piss out of each other.

Compared to Digitl spy this forum is very lenient......On balance I think the mods get it mostly right considering it is a family forum like it or not......

I too hate censorship.......But who ever owns and runs a site it is their baby and their right to choose the balance they want.....

I agree with comment with regard to the use of swear words. Censoring them with **** is pointless because the reader works out what the word is anyway and kids sadly these days swear worse than troopers......So such use of **** is in my opinion really really pointless.

I agree to an extent that insulting someone is stupid. I am trying to be more broaden.

I think we agree there are some weird people on this forum, certain members constantly trying to prove a point writing rehashed threads on certain housemates. I also go on about freedom of speech, so I guess I sound hypocritical when I get pissed off complaining about these weirdos expressing their freedom of speech.

Whats the point in using that freedom of speech if we already know what you saying and feeling because you started a billion (figure of speech) threads about (example) Vinnie Jones and how much you hate him because of his in the house and real world activities.

Typically the people I see in those sorts of forums are only adults in inverted commas.
