I just see the **** they are eating for lunch and it makes me upset. If that is indian food then pot noodles are chinese food.

As an Asian person I have tried to make my non Asian friends understand that real Central Asia food is not Kormas and Vindaloos and Sagaloo, that's all bullsh!t.

There are loads of Indian restaurants but I personally only know of 1 which is authentic, I am sure there are more.

When I was young, my mates would rather have my mother cook for them then go to an Indian restaurant cos they know it was the real deal.

Sorry I am side tracking the issue here.

I always use Madhur Jaffrey's recipes, I presume they are genuine.
If she strays from the original, maybe when ingredients aren't available here, she always says so.
My favourite is Rasedar Jhinga.
BTW, although your post is somewhat off topic, it is a joy to read something grammatical and well spelled, without obscenities and expressing an interesting point.
Of course many people do actually like British take-away "Indian" food which is a cuisine in its own right.

I don't care if they're genuine or not- in fact I know they aren't because some Italian places are as far away from Italy as you can get. But if it tastes good then theres no problem

There used to be a very authentic Hindu restaurant in Leicester called Billy's.
Is it still there?
It was upstairs over a baker/patisserie.

Sorry,I'm not Welsh.

Sorry Niamhxo I don't, but I recommend to just become friends with some Asian people, you never need to goto a restaurant again. Once again there are many people that love Indian food but unfortunately in my opinion those same people have never tasted the good ****. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants and most are awful. Nothing comes close to home cooked Indian food, except that 1 restaurant in Kingsbury North London.

When I am paying a visit to an Aunt, Cousin or anyone Asian who can cook I know I am get something which will taste authentic.

Just to touch on other comments, if you using Madur Jaffery lets hope you not cooking from a Jar.
