Basically a way to introduce each other to different music. :)

Each couple of days 5 members put up a track that they think everyone should listen to that isn't being rammed into our brains through todays media

This can be from an upcoming or underated artist, band or an older musicians song that you think todays listeners should look into.

Members then rate the tracks from 1-5. Each song is designated points, the songs chooser with most points at the end of each month has the 'best taste' for the month

If you want to be part of it, just U2U/PM me a youtube video of the song you want to show and it'll be added to the 5 for the round. You can enter once every other round

The King Blues: - Save The World, Get The Girl - Have heard "I've Got Love" by them before and really enjoyed that song, so I have quite high expectations of this. I like its pop-reggae-ish sound...not as good as the single I just mentioned but it's quite pleasant. - 3pts

I chose this for a reason haha. I've loved this band for four years now, they only have 12 songs but each one is perfection and this is the tune that got me into them.

I didn't expect to like this but apparently I do haha. I like the singer's voice and I'm rather fond of the guitar part too. The rather attractive blond dude almost made it top but eh, I prefer mine.

5 points - Depeche Mode - It's a haunting, brooding synth rock masterpiece full of lush sounds and a building tension which culminates in some great guitar work. Yeah, the Mode don't do Hendrix solos, but they don't need to. They use guitars to add colour to tracks and this is a perfect illustration of that. Also, not that it matters but the video is certifiably whack ass.

4 - Sonny J - This track's got it all. It's a bit like Basement Jaxx on acid with a bit of soul. And it's got spaghetti western guitar in it. Perfect. Who dosn't like spaghetti western guitar? Nobody. That's who.

3 - Gin Blossoms - Sounds like some good old fashioned Alt. Rock. Nothing terribly original but I enjoyed it nontheless.

2 - The Airbourne Toxic Event - It's got some nice emotion but in that college rock/E4 montage sort of generic guise. Still, it's a good track - it's simply in a great list of songs.

1 - St. Vincent - This is just going to sound like complete jealous spite but it didn't do anything for me :tongue:. And I hate that type of female vocal. I can't even describe what it is. Just that whimsical midnight cocktail bar croon. Emphasis on the whimsical. I shall dub it the 'strange female vocal'. You know what I mean. Yes, you do.
