Why not? Basically as HMs get evicted, new ones are put in.
Didn't something like this happen to someone where they stayed in a BB house for a year?
The ratings would nosedive.
It would be overexposed.
The creative team would be at a loss for ideas.
No channel would ever accomodate it's schedule.
But apart from that yeah, it's a super idea.

Big Brother Germany ran a series for a whole year.
Absolutely not. If there's anything that would kill Big Brother's chances of surviving in the UK, it would be making it longer - especially that long.

101 Days would be great, A Year would be amazing but only the hardcore fans would stay with it.
11 weeks maximum.
13 weeks is just too long

LOL - that's one way to get around the axe without C4 backtracking!
In Germany the fifth series did OK actually, which lasted a year - but the sixth which also lasted a year, but was supposed to be indefinite, suffered - mainly as BB needs a beginning, middle and end - and after the first month you then have about ten months of the middle!
BBUK would defo need to leave Elstree too to run for so long - and need a major revamp. In it's current state it couldn't sustain it even if the producers, network and viewers wanted it too.
As for replacing evictees with new HMs that's something I think could be done in a 13-week series too - begin with 10-12 HMs and for the first 6 weeks or so replace each evictee - that IMO is better than sending in five contestants half way through. Indeed for the final series would be a neat twist to begin with 12 brand new HMs and then replace each evictee with a former housemate.
LOL!
Think people would get bored after several months
It would kill the show i mean come on a year! the people in there would surley go crazy.

It's too long as it is. Viewer fatigue sets in. That's why the winter show has better ratings.
And Elstree has to be vacated by 30/09/2010 unless Endemol get new planning permission.

They could have something, where there are 2 houses... But dont know about each other at the time... say 8 people on each side of the divide...
After the first week... They are told 4 people are being evicted... Those 4 people (off each side, dont get evicted, but move to the other house)...
Then in the following weeks, they remain seperate, until challenges occur... The losing house, looses a housemate... When there are say 10 players left, they put them together in the house... And then they get the chance to vote back 2 players, that have been evicted.

If both Houses are next to each other at the Elstree site it would take about a minute for them to realise that there's another House next door. As happened in BB7.
