Why do people insist on calling a group of hm's that had Maxwell at its core 'Team Saskia'? Craig will soon be out of the loop, as he's by far the least likely to receive media attention and offers of work. He'll slip into obscurity very quickly, and hopefully Anthony will be hot on his heels.

I think that they'll all stay friends after bb! x

I don't think they will stay friends, but I think they will just drift apart rather than argue or whatever. Saskia will stay with Maxwell until she has milked the relationship for all she can get (although they haven't received as much publicity for their relationship as they probably thought they would). I think Craig will soon sink into obscurity; Maxwell and Saskia aren't that bothered about him, and I think when Anthony watches some of the reruns, he will want to put as much distance between himself and Craig as possible. I don't think Anthony and Maxwell would have been such good friends on the outside, and I doubt their friendship will stay the course.

Because Saskia was the 'boss' in that little team; she played the guys like puppets, and also maybe because a lot of people seem to think that Maxwell's demise in the house began when he and Saskia became close?

Sorry, but I really didn't like Maxwell and Saskia.

I don't think they will, they'll drift apart with other commitments, and when they've faded into obscurity, they probably won't bother.

I think that a lot of friendships formed in situations like theirs tend to dwindle out! they were friendships of necessity rather than the people who in the real world you would choose to be pals with. I have a feeling that Maxwell and Anthony will stay friends because they really seemed to like each other and got on well.

I think that Craig will be the one that holds the group together for as long as possible and not for any other reason than he likes them all as pals. Craig has already got his own successful business so will go back to the real world quicker than most of the others. :eureka:

True, people are forced together in those kinds of situations, so people become a lot closer than they normally would, and make friends with people they probably wouldn't normally be friends with.

I dont agree. Ant did say when he first saw Maxwell and Saskia they hit it on. And also
"True, people are forced together in those kinds of situations, so people become a lot closer than they normally would, and make friends with people they probably wouldn't normally be friends with."

Well yeh but not in this case because Maxwell Saskia and Anthony were not friends with Kemal or Makosi much which shows that they were not forced to have friendships in those kind of situatios. And if they didnt want to talk other housemates they simply didnt. Am i making any sense or not? =s

No, what I mean is, obviously everyone isn't going to be friends with everyone, but in a situation like that, you gravitate towards the people most like yourself (which is probably why Makosi and Kemal were initially very close, Derek and Roberto got on so well, both being a bit older than the others etc). But just because you get on well with certain people in that situation, doesn't mean that you would get on well with them in normal life. They were in a very artificial environment inside the house.

I didn't mean that everyone would be friends with everyone else. Just that if you are stuck with 12 strangers, you might form bonds with people that you wouldn't form bonds with on the outside world, where you are not cut off from your family and friends.

And when I said they were forced together, what I meant was that all of the housemates were forced to live together inside the house. They could get away from each other a bit - by going into different rooms, but I meant that they were forced to live in the same house - so they were forced together.:spin2:

I disagree. That really wasn't the case at all.

Yeah, I can see why Saskia wasn't popular with a lot of women.

What are you suggeting is the reason that I didn't like Saskia (or that a lot of women didn't like Saskia)? I know thatyou think she was very attractive, and if that's the reason you suspect I dislike her, then you're wrong. I apologise if that's not what you're suggesting, but it really bugs me that if a woman dislikes another woman who happens to be attractive, people always assume that the reason for the dislike is BECAUSE the other woman is attractive. The reasons I didn't like Saskia were her rather suspect views on immigration, her filthy mouth and her sulky attitude.

Also, I said I didn't like Team Saskia, not just Saskia herself (although I quite liked Anthony once Maxwell and Saskia had gone).

I'm only suggesting it as a reason for the team name! A lot of people have said this, and you asked a question, so I was offering a response.

Okay, no offence intended. Why do you think a lot of women wouldn't like Saskia?

LOL! For a lot of the reasons you say 'bug you' in your post, to be honest. But I don't know you and have never met you, so it would be rather rude to put you into the same bracket, based on a highly questionable presumption.

I certainly wouldn't have discussed a lot of the things Saskia did during her time in the house, especially as the only female in the company of three men. But I wouldn't say that it was any worse than comments and actions from any of the other female hm's, either. Both Kinga and Lesley, for example, made me ashamed of my gender for their behaviour in the house.

The history of BB speaks for itself, though. Attractive women rarely do well. Kate was the only real exception, but she was fortunate in that she had so many facets to her character that the female audience identified with.
