It would be a shame if Avatar didn't win, over hyped or not... its a fantastic film!

It's pretty much guaranteed to win all of the special/visual effects one so I think as long as it doesn't dominate (I think Cameron for best Director is probably likely) it's fine :p

I'm gonna go for Up. It was a great story, brilliantly done- and animated films never win.

You know, nearly every film up there is more deserving than Avatar. Great to see Up and District 9 getting nominations but I'd probably go for The Hurt Locker myself, while I'd still be more than happy with Precious or Up in theAir getting the nod. Just not Avatar!

The Hurt Locker is the best amercian film this year but once again a lot of better movies have left out

and how is the very over rated Inglorious Bastards even up for best film
i was so disappointed with that film

Have only seen Up, Up in the Air, Avatar and Inglourious Bastards. Avatar will win hands down, but I will vote for Up.

It's a toss up between The Hurt Locker and Avatar - rightfully so too.

Avatar will win, but I havent seen it.

Blind Side and Precious are two good films also. But I doubt they will best film.

Sandra Bullock fully deserves Best Actress for blind side know, and Monique for best supporting actress :)

I'm the only one going for A Serious Man?
The others are good films but any Coen Brothers picture is a great movie.
Although I think and I hope Sin Nombre will win best picture
