In the UK we must remember that we can forecast well for 48 hours hence but nothing more. The MO forecasters this morning (bbc news) would not touch a Thursday or Friday map as they just dont know.

this isnt winter really if people struggle to cope with what we have its a good job they dont live somewhere like russia etc where they have lower temps far more snow yet they carry on with life i mean even from when i was little i never had a day off school for snow as a kid

I hate how english wooses get hyper about a few flakes of snow. It's not the end of the world. Come live in the highlands - spinning for 1/4 mile when driviing too fast on snow makes yoiu feel aiive- just try not to hit the barriiers on dual carrigeway/motorway when move clockwise spin to anti-clockwise spin @ 80 mph in the car

Except I went to visit my cousin in Surrey t' other year and didn't even bother taking a winter jacket when flying down from EDI in January as pussy South. It was effing freezing and her Central Heating had broken down in coldest snap there for ages!
