Soundtracks = songs, tracks, etc.

Scores = sort-of classical music...atmospheric music you'd find in the background of scenes.

I love the American Beauty score.

go back to the forum this is in [films etc] and double click the thread box (without clicking on the link to the thread) - it should highlight everything and allow you to edit it. then just press enter :p

I'm a huge fan of Horner's earlier work but unfortunately he's gotten more and more lazy, relying on old motifs to get him out of trouble. This was his first big budget film and the score is outstanding in every respect.

I remember watching the original as a little kid with my sis and the two of us couldn't sleep that night or any night for a few days. Most of it was due to the soundtrack. So good.

Sound quality is pretty rubbish, but I absolutely love the film and the music.

It has a wi ****l, melancholic tone to it at first, and then opens up to a beautiful orchestral arrangement, full of emotion, sentiment and longing. I love it.

Carter Burwell. Doesn't do enough soundtracks, but has been involved with alot of the Coen Bros movies, excluding this one though. Wait until it picks up half way through, and the bag pipes get involved. Fairly epic stuff.
