Now that the Bun has decided that the Posh Eton Tories will be the new (English and Irish) government, one of the 1st things they will bring back is fox hunting
that is good in my book. how does it look in yours?

If foxes need culling - there are more humane ways of doing it! To enjoy it as a sport - speaks volumes about those that participate!

Good, my girlfriend needs a new coat.
Kidding.
It's not mother nature. Fox's don't mount horses and organize lamb killing activities because they enjoy it. They do it because they are wild animals - something I'm sure these stuck up wankers would object to being called.

Anyone who partakes in it is a disgusting vile excuse for a human.

they "occasionally" die they way the live.
how do you view say the slaughter of cattle for common workers who eat macdonalds?
Vicky.
19-02-2010, 05:19 PM
yeah, il talk to whoever you want...but I would still have the same view.
Killing animals for fun, especially the way they do while foxhunting is inhumane and disgusting.
and comparing it to a fox killing a lamb...is just a ridiculous comparison...foxs are wild...then again, it could be argued that people who enjoy foxhunting are also wild animals...not evolved in the brain area yet...

I'm a vegetarian. That's how I view it. Nice try.
Please don't compare a cognitive, fully functioning domesticated homo sapien killing a fox for fun to a fox killing a lamb. Your smarter than that.

Wrong. Plenty of other food out in the world to eat but meat. Sorry, but you can't have your cake and eat it. Killing animals is killing animals. Bottom line. Both are as unnecessary as the other unless your living in a climate that necessitates the eating of an animal for survival.
What the toffs do is worse, but only just. Double standards still exist if your going to hold the view that eating meat is good but killing foxes is bad.

no, i am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the "ooh the poor fox" brigade who happily munch on animals who get slaughtered in a far more vile and violent way. (like sheep and cattle).
Whilst we eat these animals we dont really need to just like we dont really need to hunt foxes, just shoot them (but that actually takes quite a bit of effort from the farmer who happily lets Lord Cheese and his nobs do it for him)

Err ... yeah ... I'm point out the exact same thing?
I don't see the complication.
At least given my personal opinion on the matter I have sufficient privileges to be on the poor Fox brigade because I'm not in the process of devouring a Lamb. You may disagree with my views on Fox hunting but nobody can accuse me of double standards unlike Ninastar.

Where's the challenge in that? They just stand around.
Chicken hunting is the future. Just toffs, pitchforks and chickens in a pit. Put it on Pay Per View and watch the revenues fly in.

Well, fox hunting is killing for food, in the chain!
If they don't kill *some* of the foxes, then them foxes eat the sheep, and therefore, less sheep for us to eat. Therefore again, more sheep will need to be bred to be killed, which will either be humans or the hunt...
So even though they're killing foxes, they're saving extra sheep being bred to be killed.
That's how I look at it anyway, I'm glad it's coming back! A few foxes killed to save loads of sheep is a good thing, in my book!

Oh come on, plenty of toff's see it as an event. They enjoy it. You know that. It's ceremony.
The horseback? The drinks? The trumpet blowing? Why not just hire trained people to get down and dirty and kill the foxes if it's really just to get rid of them.

Why people don't want to save a fox from unnecessary cruelty is beyond me. I wouldn't mind but it's not as if you can put it down to self interest, when some of them don't even hunt in the first place. Baffling

My answer is to accept what i can not control. If it is a contradiction that you are looking for then i can give you one. Part of me thinks it is wrong to eat meat because of the cruelty that is part of the industry. However there is another part of me that loves the smell and taste of meat, and i am happy to eat it.
Given the Human internal struggle for contentment i understand this contradiction as
Human Nature 1, Human Civility 0
But Fox hunting is totally different from eating meat. It is Not a natural thing to hunt for pleasure , and it is as weird as me getting into my car and driving around the streets of Manchester running dogs over. The only reason it appears as "arguably acceptable" is because it is part of history, like Stoning people was, or Public Execution is in some parts of the world today.
Labour got rid of Fox Hunting and if the Tories bring it back, it won't be because they believe it to be a
"Humane way of pest control" Come on! does anyone really believe that head****?
It will be because it fulfills a part of their strategy in being elected.

Purely incidental, bolt guns arent used any more, spraying brains and other tissue around isnt hygienic. It also means the head and brains would then be unfit for consumption.
High Voltage electrocution, using two shocks, first to stun and kill, second to confirm death. A lot quicker and more humane than being run to ground and ripped apart by a pack of hounds.
That is except for abattoirs certified and licensed to carry out other methods of slaughter for religious purposes etc. eg Halal and Kosher.
If god didn't want us to eat animals he wouldnt have made them out of meat.

Any one hunting or supporting should be made to run for their lives while being chased by a pack of pitt bulls.......
The money spent dressing up like clowns on horse back and maintaining the horses and dogs could be spent on hiring humane pest controllers.......But only where farm animals were genuinly at risk......

Fox hunting is not about survival it's about pandering to blood lust half wits with nothing better to do.......
