You learn by your mistakes. I am sure you won't be telling that person any secrets again. It's nice to really trust someone, but unfortunately those people come few and far between in life, unless you are lucky.

It's only happened to me once thankfully. I had a habit of trusting the wrong people in my teens.

But if a friend told me her secret, I will keep it secret.
This is the key to having trust.


Also at work, for example, I know all staff's salaries how much they earn, so I am the right person for the job.

I tend to get told a lot of secrets by my friends because generally I'm known as the guy who couldn't really give a crap about others problems so I am less likely to repeat them to anyone else. It's a role I enjoy, really. I was never one for discussing private things with mates so I never talk about it, so in turn everyone trusts me with their secrets and I never tell them back.
