Why is it not as important if its in Ireland?
Once again proving the stupidity of the Irish.
Oh, I'm Irish by the way.

Why is it not as important if its in Ireland?
For me , it's not because I don't live there.
To be fair the Irish charts don't count for ****. They are a joke. Most Irish people watch the English #1's on TV.

because he or she lives there...obviously.

They only "don't matter" because of the sales figures. It wouldn't take a whole lot of sales to get Irish number 1. That's why Irish charts have a history of random bands getting to the top for 1 week period only.
Also, nothing is made of the Irish charts. There is no hype built around it, or any countdown shows. I know SPIN 103.8 do a countdown show as gaeilge but that's about it.
