To be fair the Irish charts don't count for ****. They are a joke. Most Irish people watch the English #1's on TV.

Yeah the Irish charts don't matter. Most Irish people go by the UK charts. But still woo :p

They only "don't matter" because of the sales figures. It wouldn't take a whole lot of sales to get Irish number 1. That's why Irish charts have a history of random bands getting to the top for 1 week period only.

Also, nothing is made of the Irish charts. There is no hype built around it, or any countdown shows. I know SPIN 103.8 do a countdown show as gaeilge but that's about it.
