Ellie Goulding has revealed that she has started work on the follow-up to her 2010 debut Lights.

The 'Guns and Horses' singer has described the work process as "emo".

"It's started to sound very dark and very weird," she told Dean Piper. "This album is going to be even more emotional - I'm all about emo. Captain Emo over here!

"I wanted to make it so there is hope. I want to make an effect whether it's happy or sad."

Goulding recently admitted that she hopes to release her second LP in 2011.

A source tells Our employees that British chanteuse Ellie Goulding and dubstep producer Skrillex (who took home three Grammy Awards including Best Dance Recording), have been dating since November when they met through recording ties.

While Goulding, 25, is UK-based, she”s been spending a lot of her time in Los Angeles where Skrillex (real name: Sonny More), 24, resides.

Ingrosso said that he believed the track will be included on the follow up to Goulding's 2010 debut album, 'Lights', but added: "in this business you don't know until you see it on iTunes".

Ellie Goulding has revealed the date she is hoping to release her new album.

The singer is currently working on the follow-up to her 2010 debut Lights and has revealed that she is hoping to have the collection finished for an October release.

Asked if her current boyfriend Skrillex has influenced the new material in any way, she told Clevver News: "No."

Swedish House Mafia recently confessed that they have been working on a new track with Goulding and Skrillex and hope to see it on the singer-songwriter's second album.

Goulding's debut album Lights reached number one on the UK chart back in March 2010 and has sold over 650,000 copies since its release.

Listening to the cover Skrillex has definitely had a bit of an influence :tongue:

Ellie Goulding has revealed that she is working on new music with Calvin Harris.

The singer tweeted that she is in the studio with the Scottish producer.
She said: "In the studio with Sir @CalvinHarris," to which he later replied: "YAAS!"

Harris recently produced and featured on Rihanna's global hit 'We Found Love', as well as Cheryl Cole's 'Call My Name' and Tinie Tempah's forthcoming single.

The DJ has confirmed that he will release his third studio album on October 29 and a day later in the US.

The LP will feature his singles 'Bounce', 'Feel So Close' and 'Let's Go', as well as new track 'We'll Be Coming Back' with Example.
