Dannii Minogue rules out 'X Factor' auditions

I personally think she isn't coming back :/

Dannii Minogue has confirmed that she will not be available for this year's X Factor auditions.

The popstar-turned-panellist, who is expecting her first child in July, will be at home in Australia while the early stages of this year's show are being filmed.

When asked whether she could slot in filming around her pregnancy, she told DS: "If they're auditioning in the hospital in Australia, yes, but otherwise no!

"I will totally miss Cheryl and Louis and Simon, and not being there for the auditions, but I really need to be near my family in Australia at such an important time."

However, Minogue insisted that she is still keen to be part of this year's show - albeit in a more limited capacity.

"I don't know what is happening with X Factor. I just adore it and I had such a fun time last year. I'd love to be part of it somehow even if I just pop back and visit."

Minogue has been a member of the X Factor judging panel for the last three years. She guided Leon Jackson to victory in her first year on the show in 2007.

I do hope that Dannii makes a album or such if she was to leave the X Factor, She is well overdue a new album last one was in 2007.

Maybe they'll have guest judges for auditions but keep her place on the show when it goes Live, I think that's fair and hopefully would suit her.

Have really grown to like Dannii a lot the past couple of years.

I hope she does come back for the live shows, like she mentioned on twitter she would love to do them, and she isn't quitting. (If she is fired is a different matter)

She was the only level headed judge last year.

I reckon they'll do guest judges, they could get huge ratings that way as it's easier to get big names for one or two days then it is for half a year obviously. Simon likes to change things up so Guest judges could be this year's thing.

Guest judges would be ace, then with Danni for the live shows and end of the auditions. Like her group could go over to Australia and film that bit there so she can be at home and film.
I can really imagine guest judges coming in since it worked so well for American Idol.

She will be there. She'll miss the auditions and I guess Simon, Cheryl and Louis will do bootcamp, with Dannii returning for judges homes. Judges houses isn't filmed until September anyway and her baby is due in June/July-ish

Holly managed fine last year, I'm sure Dannii will too

Digital Spy had a report saying that there's likely to be guest judges and one of them will be Kylie Minogue, I'm not surprised. Many of XF's changes come from American Idol and the guest judges worked well over there so I bet Simon was itching for the chance to try it here, plus I don't think he wants to get rid of Dannii since she gained a lot of popularity with the audience and media last year.
