And she shouldn't be getting with anyone at the minute. I'm a believer of giving it time after a relationship breaks down. You don't want to be taking stuff over to a new relationship - it isn't fair on your new partner and puts the odds against your new relationship before it's even begun.

What annoys me about this is the snobbery of media commentators. On 5 Live yesterday they led with this story and Peter Allan moaned "is this out lead story, heaven help us" since then I heave heard this view expressed twice on TV and radio (BBC and Radio 2).

Cheryl Cole is in a band that is on TV and radio all the time, she is on the UK's most popular TV show. AC is a player for one of the top teams in the world and is on TV all the time. Football is out national sport. The are married.

Why is this not a national news story. There is NO rule that news has to be either serious or bad news. These media types should realise they represent the media, ie us and not their faux inflated view of the job they do.
