I thought that the series would be lame and very cheesy, yes it is cheesy, but in a good way.
Im not even embarassed to say i enjoyed it as loads of people said they had to, including men.
I remember people were being so negative towards teh show before it aired, and people were prdeicting 3.4m roughly to tune in nightly. Around 3.6m tuned in for the first show and then word of mouth was getting around and by the last few shows, it was pulling in 5m+.
Its a great feel good show which is cheap to make, as there are no celebrities, and the fact that they all have a date at Fernando's./. and thats what makes it so good because of the fact that they didnt make it expensive looking to make it good.
People were negative because of what happened to the Colour of Money which launched with the same roundabout 3.6m as well and then by the end was pulling 2.5m. However, TMO went the opposite.
It was a kind of guility pleasure of mine for 8 weeks LOL. Rhian is a legend, and am looking forward to the next series. With all these depressing shows, we need something besides XF and BGT to cheer up Saturday Night ITV primetime.
