She logged onto Facebook chat and said

"Help, I need help, I cut myself, what should I do?"
I was like put water on it and call, or go to hospital.

She said she was too drunk, I told her to phone someone, she said she was too drunk, I said to out water on the wound, she said she was too drunk. i was Llike WTF.

She said that she has a knife next to her about to KILL herself because her bf dumped her... my heart started racing, I was like ****... I dont know her well, worked with her for 2 months. I dont know why she was telling me this.

So i contacted her friend, and her friend said "Ignore it, she does this occasionally and threatens to kill herself". But i feel really scared, i contacte dmy ssiter who is into town and she was like "OMG, shes so ****ing stupid, why she telling you this?" i was like i dont know.

If there's any part of you that thinks she's telling the truth I'd call 999 and make sure you print screen the conversation for evidence.

It's better to be safe than sorry to be honest. Though quite often these people are attention seekers.

I think she is naturally an attention seeker...
Her work mate who I have just contacted, is going round there to check how she is because i was getting worried and told her to get her to the nearest hospital.

And Vicky shes not even a friend, i worked with her for 2 months but only spoke to her once, Im not sure why shes telling me this.

Maybe she is lonely and she thinks this is the way she will get attention from others?

Vicky.

And after today, remove her as a friend...no more worries :)

She could be doing it for attention, sad to think there are people who would do that.

Being serious, I actually think she probley fancies you or somthing and is looking for attention or is bored and looking for a way to have fun.

Yeah but a lot of suicides happen there and just wondered if Salv's ex worker friend lives in Bridgend!

Okay, no need for the exclamation mark! :spin:

They were mainly related to Bebo I think and hardly anyone uses that now, it's all about Facebook these days but by the sounds of things it's slowly creeping over there now too. Sad.

It sounds like attention seeking to me, I've known people who've harmed themselves and they don't tend to shout it from the rooftops. You've done more then most though and that's commendable but I agree with Vicky, delete her after tonight because if she is an attention seeker then you've indulged her and she'll come back for more, if she isn't then she's alerted everyone to the fact that she needs help and there will be other peopel closer to her that can help her.

Both are **** if im honest though.

Bebo I use to use, and I still do as its 10 times better than that mess FB that looks ugly.

Facebook has those funny groups and social interviews which keeps me entertained but all in all.. both are **** now and arent what they use to be.

Yeah.. if people are going to kill themselves they would just do it.. but it seems more people do it over the internet now :S

People who tell people that their going to kill themselves over the internet are emotionally unstable. They get the attention they crave on Facebook, they want people to pity them. It's quite sad really but for them life is one big popularity contest.

All this suicide talk actually made me remember an incident that happened on this forum a few years back. Scary stuff.

I have life, thank you very much.

And if she's a ghost, she'll probably haunt you because you're going off topic in her thread

To the above comments... I worked with her in TKmAXX and not in Bridgend, i live in Woking.

Anyways, Ive been lurking around Facebook, and her friends went round and told her not to be so stupid, she did cut herself, only a bit though.

That isn't even a cry for help. It's a cry for attention because it was Friday night and no cock was in her.

who could be so alone.

Facebook is used for so much of the Dark Side
these days.

You have done the correct thing
sending someone round to have a look .

At the Imtermediate Treatment Project I used to volunteer at (teens referred by Social Services for various issies) we'd tell them how to do it properly to spook-out attention seekers/bull****ters. 'Don't put a knife across your wrist as you'll only damage the tendons and sever a vein at best and it'll look stupid. Clench fist, stab a long bladed knife deep into middle of forearm and pull it to the fist - that'll sever the arteries and you'll bleed to death quickly'

Better off gone if genuinely mean it that putting silly cross scars on your body that gonna see for the next 50 years.

No sproglet ever carried thru to my knowledge

Ahhh yeah, like if you slit across two ways it's meant to work better too. I get what you mean, it's a good way of scaring off the bull****ters but could also backfire really, like some of the serious cases might have BPD or something.
