I heard on the radio that Makosi has had to hire a bodyguard after receiving threats from Big Brother fans. Anybody seen any thing in the press about this story this morning?

Haven't seen anything, but that's terrible.. nobody should receive threats, no matter how bad they were..

It is pathetic. Although I didn't like Makosi in the house, she certainly didn't do anything that warranted receiving death threats. The people who are making these threats ought to grow up.

I don't believe that for a second. It's just another of her nauseating, attention seeking lies.

I'm with CharlotteSometimes, she's just looking for sympathy, the silly bint. She's like the boy who cried wolf, if anything bad really *does* happen to her, she's going to find it quite difficult to convince people she's telling the truth.
And if that does happen, it will be the daft cow's own fault.

Maybe it was just another trashy Mirror story. The quotes seem to be from an "Insider" Not Makosi herself. So she can't be blamed for broadcasting it.

http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/radar/radar/tm_objectid=15881176%26method=full%26siteid=106694-name_page.html

I saw her on GMTV (no I don't watch it religiously. I just caught it before I went for work) last week and they asked her how the public were?
She never mentioned anything about any bodyguards. And said the public have been nothing but nice to her.

...I'm not convinced.

But somebody had to tell the 'insider' about it in the first place, hence Makosi herself. Interesting (or perhaps not) points from the article:

My mole revealed: "Makosi has been getting threats against her since she left the house."

Meanwhile I'm told Makosi has also begged organisers to meet fellow guest Abi Titmuss. My insider added: "Makosi can't wait to meet Abi. She's a big fan and thinks they'd have a lot in common with their medical backgrounds. But she also hinted she has a crush on her and would like to get to know her for more personal reasons." Aim high, Makosi - aim high. :bored:

I'm not sure. If she really is recieving death threats, then thats quite horrible, but if she is LYING about this too, the she has some SERIOUS issues and probably needs to be sectioned

Anything is possible, of course, but I'll sleep easy having opted for the latter.

And insiders are a source of credible information? I never quite believe the insider quote stories, no matter what the story is. My opinion.

Yes that's true.

If she is receiving death threats, then that's disgusting behaviour by the people making them. However, I now think that she probably isn't receiving such threats - she said herself that the public response has been great, and she was also apparently at the V festival, and because people were showing interest in her (naturally), she kept going out of the VIP area (no I don't know what she was doing in there in the first place) and mingling with the crowds and loving the attention.

Yeah, and that's hardly the behaviour of a woman that fears for her life, is it?

If she was genuinely frightened by those 'death-threats', she'd keep her head down for a while.

The papers could be lying about the death threats, or she might be just trying to carry on with a normal life.

If 'kosi was scared, she'd avoid too much publicity and lay low for a while.

It's a show, people should grow up. I didn't like her, but it seems some people on here would love to believe she was making it up. I could well imagine her receiving death threats. However I may send her a death threat if she doesn't stop putting her arms up when she's having pictures taken. It's disgusting.

If she is getting threats/hate mail that is no reason for her not to do exactly what she wants. Just because she is getting them it doesn't mean she has to be scared of them or take them seriuosly. I can QUITE believe she has had threats [look at all the fan mail celebrties get] and Makosi has been hated [in general] for weeks now, so why is it surprising that some people have written?

I think we're a little more certain than that, thanks all the same. The woman is pretty much incapable of honesty and integrity, and this simply fits the bill as another of her attention seeking stunts.

I believe that she is lying due to her past actions, not because I 'want to'. It's not my fault the woman's portrayed herself as a thoroughly nasty piece of work, is it?

Unfortunately for Makosi, she has made it very difficult for anybody to believe anything she says. As I stated earlier, I think it's disgraceful for anybody to make death threats, but as she has apparently seen fit to hire a bodyguard (who was apparently nowhere to be seen when she was at the V festival), you would think that she would keep a low profile and not be out all the time. I'm not saying that she shouldn't go out if she wants, but her behaviour seems at odds with these stories of death threats.
