Job Description Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with a great history, but our future is even more exciting with titles such as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for Konami.

Climax truly is an exciting, creative and fun place to work and we are currently looking for a Narrative Designer to be an in-house member of the team that created the award-winning, story-driven Silent Hill Shattered Memories, working on their next-gen project.

Role is:

1st: Working with Level Design teams and Lead Writer to create story-driven levels, coming up with ideas and details for story events, etc.
2nd: Writing of in-game dialogue and narrative content.
3rd: Implementation of in-game story content
4th: Part of writing team for high level game story.

Requirements: (in order of importance)
• Passion for story driven games (especially in the action adventure/horror genres)
• Passion for storytelling
• Strong understanding of story structure and dramatics
• Evidence of strong ability in creative writing, screenwriting or similar -- with emphasis on economy & structure
• Understanding on technical issues relating to game development and/or experience with some form of interactive story-telling
• Evidence of strong dialogue writing
• Experience with game development
• Experience with Unreal

Sounds like it, Although unless it's a potential handheld title I can't see it being a next gen game as the main console's sequels won't be out for years yet.

Xbox 360 and PS3 are still widely refered to as next gen :p (and it makes a lot of sense to put next-gen in the advert seeing as SHSM was on PS2, PSP and Wii :p)

Ah foolish me. Well i guess it makes perfect sense then, I'm guessing there'll be soem details revealed in the coming weeks.
