No, Kore, he doesn't. Eugene rules.

They both do. :spin:
I think Davina said something about him still having really short hair, and he said something about how it made it quicker for him to get out of the bath and get a beer. He was talking a load of rubbish basically and thinking he was being really funny.

That's because he was. People tend to find self-mocking parody endearing, hence the warm response afforded him by the crowd.

That was self-mocking parody? I couldn't tell, I don't understand 80% of what Maxwell spouts.

Oh, come on! He did everything bar donning a Pearly King outfit and distributing free pie and mash and jellied eels to the crowd! It was Mockney ... to the Max. *Blushes at own feeble pun*

No, he didn't. Read the title of the thread before you bumble into response.

No, he didn't. Read back through your own post history before having the gall to attempt mocking others - you're on pretty shaky ground.

The inaccuracy of your post.
No, he didn't.
You 'here'?
It's all in check, thanks all the same.
o dear because you cant argue properly cause ive put you in your place you then change the topic to grammar and spelling
Get a life

There is no 'argument', as an argument requires both parties to have a point. That leaves you at something of a disadvantage. You quote me, add your drivel, and expect not to receive any response? Oh dear. How big a hole can you dig?
We do both have a point
You say "Maxwell got a warm response from the crowd"
I say "Maxwell got booed"
How big a hole can you dig?
Ditto

What will you come up with next? It's merely a flesh wound?
I just said that Maxwell got booed and you had a falangee fit on me
CharlotteSometimes

Read your post once again - you quoted me, and attempted to mock. The fact that you failed miserably doesn't discount my right to respond.
Fangz
22-08-2005, 10:04 AM
Am I the only person who doesn't know what a falangee is?
How did i mock you?
Prove it

You didn't - it was a failed attempt. Top marks on your maturity though, all the same.
It wasnt an attempt
It was fact
CharlotteSometimes

All failures have to be seen merely as attempts, I'm afraid.
And no, it was nothing more than conjecture on your part.

I thought the crowd's reception of Max was indeed quite warm, warmer than his actual eviction night, IMO.
CharlotteSometimes

Exactly. He milked it - quite probably way too much. If they'd been booing, it would've become a cacophony considering the length of time he lingered on the catwalk.

Wasn't as bad as Anthony when he was going in the house-god, he wasn't so much milking it as trying to suck it dry!

Too true! As for Max on the final night, I thought he got a mixed response, but more cheers than boos - and certainly a better reception than on his eviction night. I personally thought he was not being funny at all when he was rabbiting away to Davina - but different people find different things funny.

Was it you that mentioned he thought the boos were because the security ushered him into the house? I didn't notice that on the first night, but I can picture it quite vividly in my mind's eye.

Yeah, I didn't find that side-splittingly funny or anything like that. But I was pleased to see him, and I thought the fact that he was so self-mocking was a nice touch. I think it was a deliberate response to those who slated him for little more than being working class.

I remember on the first night, after all the housemates had gone in, Davina said that Anthony had assumed that the crowd were booing his chaperone or something. How deluded must the poor boy be? And how much must he think of himself?!

I personally never thought anything about him being working class or anything else, but I guess some people did. I didn't actually think he was being self mocking oon the final night - not at the time I watched it - but I can see how he perhaps was being self mocking.

Well, the crowd's reaction suggested otherwise, as Fangz mentioned earlier.
