Ok, so we have who ruined it for you this year and this is the opposite, which Housemate made this years Big Brother for you?

For me it would have to be Maxwell, along with Michelle from last year, there the best housemates BB could have for me and can't see anyone as good in there again.

Hasn't a thread like this already been set up somewhere on this forum?

I think the question has been asked countless times.

science the great provided great entertainment

Science the great showed himself to be an idiot, who argues for the sake of it, and seems to be a rebel without a clue.

Science, Maxwell, Saskia, Eugene, Mary.

Craig, Lesley, Mary, Orlaith and Roberto.
Maxwell was too flash and an alcoholic.
Kate Lawler is the best housemate ever.

Maxwell Saskia for being a couple
Anthony for being hot and nice
Makosi for all the drama she caused
Kemal for being a diva
And Kinga for stirring it up in the last 2 weeks

That's debatable. I don't think she stood a chance against Maxwell when they were up against each other. Pretty girl + largely female voters = very long odds. Add strong-minded into the equation too, however, and she may as well have walked the morning after the nominations were announced.

Still, it was wonderful television. Makosi crumbled and had absolutely nothing to say in response, having been well and truly trounced. It also annoyed me almost as much as the night wimpboy Alex fluked the cameras' attention with the dance behind the door on BB3, Nadia's diary room tears and pretty much everything Sicktor and Jason said or did on BB5. But that was Makosi's comment along the lines of 'World war III - over cider', rather than the argument itself. What really caused it, of course, was the fact that her actions were those of a Vile, disingenuous thief.

I think it was Saskia's downfall in a way, because it led to her being nominated. She may well have been nominated anyway, but if there hadn't been that argument, it might have been Anthony and Maxwell who were up - now THAT would have been an interesting eviction!

In answer to the thread question, Science and Roberto made the show for me - and also Derek, even though sometimes I couldn't stand him.

Saskia was (and probably still is) nasty, and at first I actually disliked her more than I disliked Makosi. Mind you, Saskia never made things up with no good reason.

Seriously, and I'm really not looking for an argument here - but what on earth did anyone like about Roberto? He was incredibly tedious, spoke like an 8 year old girl, had an obsession with food, possessed nothing that even remotely resembled a personality, and brought absolutely nothing to the house. So what was the attraction?

You're forgetting, CharlotteSometimes, this is the country where Jade Goody became well-known and respected. The best way to become famous is to be a moron.

I'd rather go with 'disarming naivety' in my description of Jade, but you have a point.

Are you annoyed with me when I get the full eighteen letter treatment, Fizz?

Course not, Jo, not annoyed at all. It just occurs to me that when I'm calling you Jo, alot of the forum don't know who I'm talking to.

I know you're not looking for an argument:spin2: I just really liked Roberto, because he was his own man, didn't follow the pack and I thought he was really funny. But I didn't like Maxwell, who was very popular with other people - I thought he was rude, lewd, obnoxious, cocky and arrogant. Just different opinions I guess.

Yeah, I can see that point. But it could also be said that he didn't mix very well, too. Perhaps if he hadn't spent so much time with Derek, I'd have seen him differently? Then again, his 'minger' comment really annoyed me early on, so it would've taken a lot for him to win me over after that. And then there was the speed dating task with Kemal (which made me feel ill) and the bowl of food with Maxwell, for which he should've been more seriously punished, too.

Ruth

I agree he should have been more severely punished for throwing food over Maxwell. The same can be said for Science (my favourite housemate), when he threw water over Kemal, and Maxwell when he threw water over Kemal. Big Brother didn't do enough to clamp down on these incidents.

I thought the speed dating thing with Roberto and Kemal was really funny!

It's fair to say that Roberto didn't really mix with the others too well, apart from Derek - and I think he and Mary would have been good friends in the house, if she had been there for longer.

Although it's quite unlikely, he could've burnt him with the food, and the scalp is very sensitive, too. That's quite different to cold or room temperature water. But, overall, they let far too many incidents get out of hand, as you say.

I just thought it was desperate.

I dunno - there were too many hm's in the house at the start, and I don't think any of them got sufficient screen time to give a good account of themselves. But I certainly don't recall much interaction between Mary & Roberto.

I think they were all mint this year but I`d say-

Kemal-Because he provided great humour and style.
Makosi-Bec ause there were plenty of good moments like secret missions that included her.
Anthony-cos he is an all round entertainer
Craig-without him I wouldnt of laughed so much
Maxwell and Saskias relationship
Kinga,Orlaith,Eugene-without them the house wouldnt of been so bitchy and intriguing

Yes the food throwing incident was totally out of order. Roberto did specifically say that the food was not hot - but that is definitely no excuse.

I hope that for the next series, Big Brother will take a much stronger line with incidents like that.
