I'm a bit clueless about the whole thing. I have stuff I want to sell-DVD's,CD's,old magazines and so on and I have no idea how to. I'm not even sure I can use eBay without a credit card and that place seems dead anyways. So any other suggestions?

That would probably cost more than I'd make, lol!
I'm not allowed to ask people on here if they want to buy some stuff am I? Although I've already asked the Britney clan, lol.

it depends on the paper, some allow free advertising but others charge.

You'll sell things quicker on Ebay than on Amazon (unless you sell it as a 'Buy it Now' item). Plus people are more reliable on Ebay in my experience.
If all else fails, try Cash Converter or any pawn shop. They can rip people off a bit, but it's better than nothing.

you should value up the stuff you sell first so you got a rough idea how much it's worth.
it'd be horrible to sell a CD/DVD/mag or something then find out it was worth a lot more.

I hate selling DVD's and CD's, I'm never happy for what someone pays for it. And then there's the post and packaging. Eugh. Waste of time for me.
Do you have a debit card? You can use that on ebay.
