Hello everyone, just back from having dinner with my dad, had such a good day since I got my presentation out of the way! It went really well, the German tutor was really enthusiastic in her feedback, so I'm feeling really positive now! Gonna go watch Skins in reception at 10 to end what's turned out to be a really good day; and I have friends visiting over the weekend too! Which probably means I won't be on and I fully expect to be eliminated, but I really don't want to be! Just reading up on the HoH situation etc, well done Jords, well deserved!! :)

Well, I'm not too sure, I think it just gets taken into consideration for an overall grade for our speaking classes, it's like continuous assessment, but I take part in the speaking classes quite a lot and I'm really happy with how my speaking went, so I hope I'll get a good grade overall! Thank you! Yeah it's Effy's episode tonight, it looked good from the previews! I've never seen Chatty Man; I'm not much of a TV-watcher even when I have access to a TV, but I like Alan Carr, I think he's funny! How was your day??

Hmm, tricky question. I find the aspect of actually looking after myself really easy, and I really like Glasgow as a city; but I've been really depressed for the past few months - it's not homesickness, but I always feel better when I'm at home; I think it's a combination of missing my friends and not having many/any in halls. I mean I've made a good group of friends in my German lectures, but they all live at home so I never get to see them outwith Uni, so whenever I come back to halls I'm just alone the whole time, it sucks. Despite that, I am enjoying it, I've just been really down for four months or so now! :(

Quite a lot of them are in German but in my other two courses I don't know anyone from Glasgow, it's mixed. My course is 4 years long, and I go away to a German speaking place in 3rd year! Oh cool, my brother did a German and commerce course a few years back and he spent his 3rd year near Dusseldorf, he loved it but he had such a flair for German it was no bother to him.

I've been in work (boo) so weekend doesn't start till 5 for me!
