Is there or could there be a section for books and reading material anywhere? Like what you're currently reading? Maybe in the interests section or hooked into the films/games etc forum? I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes a good book *ahem* and maybe people could link to good blogs and the like too?

I'd love a reading section but yeah not many people on here are proper bookworms.

I'm surprised there aren't more book fans. Especially as theres a section dedicated to creative writing and blog entries too

Awww shame. I'd have thought it was a major general passtime for people.

I've added to InOnes group. Maybe if it livens up I'll start a thread in general and add the link to the group there? Might get the ball rolling again :)

The thing with bookclubs is the reading the same book thing. I'd rather just read the books I want to,lol. Plus I already have like 25 on my to-read shelf and a bookclub is an excuse to go buy more!

Oh no, I don't like being told/asked to read the same as everyone else as I know we all have such a range of differing tastes. Nothing worse than trawling through a book you can't stand  But if I see a quick review about a book that may grab my interest I'll be chuffed and look it up. I always feel like a kid in a sweetie shop in a bookstore and never know where to start so always good if someones said "hey, this is worth a look" :)

Oh yeah that's different,if someone suggested something and I'd like the sound of it I'd give it a go. Aye I'm the same in a bookshop, sometimes I go in to get one book and come out with about 5 and I'm like 'How the feck did that happen?'

I recently joined the audiobooks site http://www.audible.co.uk/ (http://www.audible.co.uk/freetrial). You can get a two-week free-trial and two free audiobooks, hah. I might use it more though.

Never tried an audio book. I think I'd worry I'd get distracted.

Yes they always have bargains book-wise. I love the place

I like Waterstones too but they can be expensive. I'm such a sod for a bargain and WH Smiths is around the corner and the 'net infront of my nose at home

That reminds me. I want to try out Asda and Tesco online for books too. I saw some dirt cheap books on there while generally browsing over Xmas

I always find Waterstones quite reasonable, maybe cos my books are usually paperbacks which are usually quite cheap anyways. Nearest bookshop to me is the local one but they never have much choice in there so I go to Waterstones in town.

My friend always goes into charity shops for books...I should take up that really, but there's always going to be the sad-arse who pays attention to the stigma of charity shops.

Well that's good. I definitely spend far too much on books but I figure it's not exactly the worst thing to spend too much money on.

I only live in a little town Jaye,50 minutes into the city center, get lots of reading done on the train

They scare me a bit. Well not so much the trains but the stations and getting on them. Weird!

I'd fall asleep on a train if I read a book. I'd end up in London myself  That rocking motion....... I'm bad enough being on the tram for more than five minutes here :joker:

Oh I'm forever falling asleep on trains. On the way I'm the last stop on the line though so that's grand if I fall asleep. And I've never not woken up on the way in! I only sleep if I'm exhausted though, unless I'll read or listen to music or both.

I learnt from my cousin. She fell asleep and ended up at the opposite side of the city. Living in a big city - it wasn't good :joker:
