I like it, you can queue up videos to watch whilst still watching the current one

I despise it, If I wanna favourite videos I gotta go onto the profile page to do it sicne the new layout doesn't work for me. There should be an option to use the old layout.

It always makes me laugh a little when Facebook or Youtube change, it's like "Whats wrong with the old one?" Well, things have to change or else we'd still be using interfaces like;

True but these new features and layouts don't work. They don't improve anything. Most people complain about facebook because they don't like change although most changes are for the better. I don't like the YT change because it doesn't work well for me and it's been done to implement features I don't need or want. The old layout was simple and effective, they've tried to fix something that wasn't broken it and dismantled in the progress.

There are some good new features, such as being able to search whilst still watching videos and the Like/Dislike thing is pretty good (though it should have a visualisation saying how many likes/dislikes it got) at the moment it is still BETA I gather, as I can still click the "Old Youtube" button to go back

I used the link, but it just reverts back to the old YouTube when I open the home page again. :confused:
Edit: Oops! False alarm, it works.

To show thats what Youtube and Facebook would be like if they never changed

Are you sure its back to the old one? The home page is pretty much the same as the old one, as are the channels

Yeah but for me I don't care about those features, they could have implemented them with the old layout. It's annoying me majorly as it changed automatically and it's not letting me go back.

That's weird :s I can see why that would be annoying, one thing I am not too keen on with this new layout is it looks kind of bland now

Apart from there was no HD support, the High Quality view was just a same size player with slightly better quality :p

Yes, I'm glad they made it so easy to turn off autoplay. My only complaint is that if they update YouTube this often, it'll only make it more difficult for them to iron out bugs.

HD is overrated though, I don't really need HD footage of a cat playing a keyboard :joker: They could have kept the old layout and just implment the chages around it as nothing that I use works at the moment.

I'm not fussed as long as the quality's not horrific. Streaming HD doesn't work well on my computer anyway. SD all the way :dance:

Still the Widescreen players are better than the tiny ones
but the new Youtube does need colour, and the related videos box needs tidying

If they just had a favourite button my main bugbear with it would be gone since the save to menu never loads for me so I gotta end up going through the profile page to save something. Widescreen players were available on the old layout, you could turn them on and off.

Aye, there needs to be buttons still, I agree
and I know, the original comment you quoted was going on about the picture of the 2006 era Youtube :p
