I think malware is taking over my laptop.
I've got a malwarebytes scan running, just hope that it finds the problem before it takes over that too, that's what happened to my da and he had to completely restore his computer from scratch :(
Is there anything else I can do? It all started about half an hour ago.

Holy **** i hate when stuff like that happens
I am not sure i guess youre gonna have to wait till the scan is done.
If the virus attacks turn your computer straight of.
Try to save any important documents/files etc. before it's too late, in case you do need to restore your computer from scratch.

LOL Tom, you're probably right.
Damaris, it's popping up with this 'vistaguardian' ****, and it's getting worse. I'd turn it off but I think when my dad did that he couldn't turn it back on again.

Can I stick a USB stick in and save them onto that?

Yup, but you'll have to be careful to make sure the malware doesn't affect that.
I had a virus on my last PC and I had to boot in to safe mode to save my files (on to an external hard drive). It took some time and patience but I got everything back.
