Pinoy Big Brother launched on Saturday night with a big street fiesta as all 12 HMs entered the house (which, like the US one, actually looks like a house on the outside!). So far one of them, a teacher, hasn't made herself popular by constantly calling the others children (think a female Derek!) and another, in a late-night sofa chat on the very first night, has already let out family secrets - his "cousins" have just found out on TV that he's really their half brother!
The house itself is of the fairly standard type seen in most international shows (one thing about BBUK, the houses always look fantastic!) and they're using a big booming BB voice (remember BB Africa?)
One major difference is they're doing what a few FMs have been asking for - positive voting. After HMs nominate who they want out, the public votes to save their favourite nominee. Also the diary room is called the confession room and seems not to play as much of a day-to-day role (AFAIK it's day 2 and hasn't been seen yet!) and they get a priest in every Sunday to do mass.
One thing about PBB is that you won't see any nudity - the censors over there are quite tough! It's interesting to see how the public are enjoying the show, they've been watching the likes of Survivor for years, but as we know there's something different about BB!
