Paramount and Reel Fx have announced plans to make In The Beginning, a 3D telling of the creation story.

Hidalgo writer John Fusco has penned a screenplay for the Book Of Genesis-based project, which David Cunningham (The Path To 9/11) is attached to direct.

Cary Granat will produce the $30 million project, aiming to catch the faith-based audiences that made The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe and Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ big box office hits, reports Deadline Hollywood.

The stories of Adam and Eve, Noah and the Flood and Abraham and Isaac were previously told by John Huston in 1966's The Bible: In The Beginning.

Ugh, John Fusco is threatening to write the remake of the Seven Samurai. I have nothing against that, but Fusco is the guy who wrote Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron.

I hope both movies flop.

I wonder will it carry the subtitle 'based on a true story'.

Go to hell.
Not a bad tagline.

I want a refund if Dinosaurs pop up in this movie.

So how are they going to go about providing an on screen representation of the 'God' character without making the whole religion look like a bunch of schizophrenic ****tards on an acid binge?

And will it be classed as a horror?

I dont know. But I reckon the God Squad will be out burning cinemas if it has a disclaimer like:

"All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. All events....."

Oh good just as long as it doesnt mention Adam and Eve and Jesus and God and all that bollocks and just sticks to the real thing about the Big Bang.

well the movie is about the Bible which doesnt feature any mention of the Big Bang. So that attempt at coming across anti-Christian is unfortunately a classified FAILURE
