of course
only fools and tools do not vote
of course

It's so easy to tar everyone with the same brush, isn't it?
What if you don't like any of the choices presented to you? What if there is no clear 'best of the worst'? What if none of the electorates agree with your political views and don't look to be taking the world the way you wan't it to go? What if you think they are all ... in a word ... scumbags?
Don't be a dolt.

Yes but not being registered prevents you from voting in referendums as well that you may want a say in like the one we had on abortion etc.

I wasn't saying anything about not being registered. I was responding to a comment that explicitly said only tools and fools don't vote.
I am registered, of course, and enjoy sticking it to the man on occasion.

Dont be naive. No one likes "any of the choices presented" because people who gravitate to politics do so for personal power reasons and if they dont when they go in they do when they are in but it is all we have so you have to make a choice. If you dont like what you see then get involved.
if you have ever been involved in Politics you soon realise that ideals are just grand but reality is much nastier and harder.
if all you do is vote you have done something. Most folks who dont vote for the reasons you give end up doing nothing apart from droning in someones ear in a pub.

No. You don't have to make a choice. If I vote for someone I believe to be incompotent, whose views don't allign with mine, I have accomplished nothing - read - nothing by voting for them. Actually wait - I have. I have supported someone I don't wish to support. What a great way to devalue yourself. Your argument basically boils down to voting for the sake of it. For the pure act of it alone. If it accomplishes nothing, I would rather sit at home and rub one out.
so you say
Do go on.

There is such choice nowadays you cant say that there is no one to vote for?

Actually I can. That's the point. But obviously I am only speaking for Irish politics here. But still the point stands.

Yes
but sadly
more Young Folks are not bothering to vote.
We should be like Down Under
you have to vote by law.
And you can tick a No Vote
for no one.
So even if you do not like any leader
you can still vote No for no one

It is too easy to look at politicians and parties and think "OOh I hate what they stand for" unless you have a better alternative and are willing to do something about it
finding faults is the easiest game in town

No it could also
be Conservative-Lib Dem joined power
keeping out New Labour who after 13 years have failed.

So I am not entitled to hold my view that all the options suck unless I am willing to drop my life right now and devote it to creating an alternate?
Sorry, but I don't buy that. Learn to recognise when people disagree with you and move on, not attempt to devalue them at every turn.
All the options sucked last time, so I didn't vote last time. End of story.

I didnt support her or anyone in fact. I just pointed out a error that you had made. I was even against the topic's question ''Should ugly people be allowed to breed?'' as I said Of corse they should its not like it is doing any harm to others.' deducing that I think they should be able to have children.
Bored of this now. Time to move on.

So who was the first person to mention opening Dachu then? Not Karezza.
Which I found out after that my judgement was incorrect. Karezza never said about Dachu. Which I do say sorry for. I just didnt read them properly.
It had nothing to do with me being for or against her fascist views. It was about incorectly thinking you had contradicted yourself. That is all there is to it.
