What happens with my iPod is that when I plug it in, I click on the little Last.fm scrobbler icon in the little section in the bottom right hand corner of windows (next to the time) and it says "Last.fm has found "however many plays" on your iPod, would you like to scrobble them?" and I click scrobble and it does it :)

My laptop is wired up to the Hi-Fi and amp no so no matter where the stuff get's played, she get's scrobbled. Actually everything is just getting filtered through the synth setup so pretty much every piece of audio is now passing through one singular, holy channel.

That's how I have started to listen to music now anyway. I'm picking three or four artists and devoting a week to them.

I listen to The Beatles because I like them you ****ing moron. I can't help it if my main interest in life is sitting in bed listening to music all day.

I didn't listen to them last night anyway you dolt. And I'm far from the only one who is playing them. The Beatles would not have 'cheated' to get to the charts. They would have got there fair and square based on ... you know ... people listening to them. The motivation behind that listening counts for nought - they were still listened to.

For the record I don't even have a single Beatles play before this week because I only got a DVD that has all the remasters this week and burned it into the iTUNES.

I think people are saying they will get them to number one because they know they are listening to them and it's a possibility. The music is still being listened to if you catch my drift, so it's not 'cheating' in the classic sense of the word. It still reflects the TiBB listenership because ... well ... it's what people are listening to.

And hey, if more great music listening is being encouraged, it can't be all that bad.

Yeah I only put "My Top Rated" (a default playlist that comes on iTunes) onto my iPod. I got a Nano thinking "ooh this is pretty" and forgot about practical issues.
