Not long until release, really looking forward to this
I haven't followed a single bit of this games development for some insane reason. I'll buy it day one though. I'll have to spend a few hours looking it up at some point.
Is it more akin to the first games open ended RPG style play or the second games unfortunately more dumbed down action RPG experience?
How open world is it? I assume it's still confined levels?

I think it's confined levels, but on a grander scale
I just did a bit of Googlage and found this quote
In many ways, the original Deus Ex mirrored a Zelda title in its structure. Throughout the game, you entered large cities filled with civilians, hidden areas and mission areas (read: dungeons). It worries me that the demo's presenter pointed out Revolution's civilian areas, as we were shown a hallway with NPCs walking about. For a next-gen sequel, I expect even larger, more detailed areas than the original - not a hallway with a couple characters ready to delivery some expository dialog. However, the demo took place during a mission, so perhaps we will see larger civilian hubs in the finished game.
So there is definately still areas where you can talk to people, I was worried it might just be mission after mission
Just seen a bit of gameplay in a civilian area, it's very much like Deus Ex

That does look absoloutely sweet.

They mentioned that there are still many ways to enter areas, so it's not straight forward :)

Completed this yesterday, absolutely loved it, it mostly hit all the right notes, I'd make a few changes myself, one of them being using the Unreal engine rather than an in-house one.
I can't wait to play it but I'm going to be a scrounger and wait a few weeks to get it cheaper second hand.
Okay this game is absoloutely **** hot. I love it and it's probably better than sexing a really hot woman. I love how super slick and sexy it is, I love those Metal Gear Solid style massive factory floors you can stumble through however you want, I love the semi free roaming city hubs with their silly little video game touches like having to go through holes and alleys to get to different sections whilst the sections slowly load in the backround, I LOVE VENTS, I love the fact that Pritchard - who I really hope doesn't turn out to be a one dimensional bad guy - called me up on the fact that I like to go into womens toilets ...
... this game is just the jazz. I'm in the China bit now and I hope it never ends. The only thing I didn't like was how hard the hacking was with certani doors at the start but now that I've made sense of it and augmented the hell out of it I'm proper el1te.

The more I think about it, the more I feel like the future could actually be quite similar to how the first game and Human Revolution show it to be, I used to be such an optomist too lol
Anyway, on the topic of the game itself, here's some improvements I'd make
- Melee weapons: I missed going all 'Gordon Freeman' with the crowbar like I did in the original.
- HD cutscenes: The cutscenes are great but they're not as clear as they could be, or as crisp as actual in game graphics.
- Special moves in real time - Going into a cutscene when using your arm was kinda lame
- MORE BOB PAGE!

I completed this yesterday. It's a great game. Absolutely love the style and setting, and it pulls off stealth surprisingly well for a first person shooter.

You should have a go at the first game, it's slightly old, but its a sequel to this one and is really fun.
Oh, I'll just leave this in here too :wavey:

Jensen's ultra camp arms folded pose is still the most brilliantest thing animation since Rico's prance of death in Just Cause.
