Karly Ashworth - Our Karly prepares to make film debut

METHILHILL'S Big Brother star Karly Ashworth is leaving reality TV behind and heading for the silver screen.
Speaking to her local paper, the former Buckhaven High pupil, who shot to fame following last year's series, confirmed she's already been cast in an exciting new film project.
And as well as auditioning for the part, Karly says she's also been over the past year modelling and working as a resident celebrity columnist for Female First magazine, where she speaks out on issues such as domestic abuse and women's rights.
Describing her experiences after leaving the BB house, Karly told the Mail: "Things were mad.
"The fact that people recognised me was just the strangest thing: it was one of the best experiences of my life and I absolutely loved every minute of it.
"It opened so many doors for me and I've loved all the opportunities which have come my way.
"I unfortunately couldn't make the Big Brother 11 auditions, but I'm so excited to see what Scot they will throw in this year."
Karly still keeps in touch with Kris and Charlie from the show but admits most of the others have now gone their separate ways.
Once the dust settled on the Big Brother series, she returned to modelling and still remains a popular face in the industry, picking up a lot of work overseas which has come as a welcome distraction from some upsetting coverage in this country.
"I love keeping busy and I'm very career focused," she added.
"It all got a bit much with the press with my split with Kenneth so I thought it was time for a clean break.
"I knew what to expect if I went in the house but I suppose trying to keep the things you want to keep private becomes hard.
"Obviously you have the gossip and stories that are sometimes published in the press but, if you have a thick skin to that, you'll be fine."
After spending Christmas and New Year in the area, Karly headed back abroad where she was lucky enough to hear of casting auditions for the film.
And although she wouldn't give too much away, it's fair to say that she's looking forward to the new chapter in her life.
"Well, I have a few interesting deals in the pipeline but then it wouldn't be exciting if I was to tell all now would it?" she joked.
" I had a casting for a film earlier this week, and got the part.
"I am very excited about it, I'm sure my drama teacher from high school will be proud of me."
Karly says she wants to thank her family and everybody else locally who has stuck with her since leaving the Big Brother house through the Mail.

What I was most intersted in this piece was that she is still in touch with Kris and Charlie but the others have gone their own ways. as happens after BB...
