If it wasn't for the fact that Jade Goody's still alive, I'd think Makosi was channeling her spirit.

Mmm, yeah, love her music. Plus the fact she had the classiest wedding ever. Matching tracksuits? Dead stylish. Not to mention the meal of burgers and fried chicken afterwards. Dead posh, innit?

Actually, Hitler was quite manipulative and twisted words and situations to his advantage quite ruthlessly, so there may be some truth in that...

Yeah I'm going to have ato agree with the post about how any Anthony fan can call Makosi a bit thick.

Funny really, because I'm sure she wouldn't struggle to spell Adidas.,pineapple and whatever else.

The Jade Goody remark, well let's face it Anthony is a close you will get to Ms. Goody.

Nurses are very clever. Could you study to be one? Quite pathetic trying to nit pick to find things to bring down Makosi. Especially since the show has finished and she did not win anyway. Maybe one word was not enough to describe her driving and she chose two? But its easier for a hater to just label her as thick. Won't wash really as she has proved to be a fairly intelligent housemate. She is certainly more articulate than you. Look that word up in your dictionary, as well as the correct spelling for morning, making and supposed.

Fangz
29-08-2005, 06:01 PM
Yes, she's a nurse. That does not make her exempt from criticism. And she chose three words: fast AND furious.

Actually if you check the context she has indeed used two words. She was asked to describe her driving. The word fast is an adverb as is the word furious. Adverbs describe actions. The word and is a conjunction that joins two words or sentences together.

An admirable expression of arrogance as you wipe the egg from your face, but you're incorrect. It's three separate words. Sometimes, it's best to just give up when you're in the wrong.

And is a word and is not in dispute. She was asked to Text her driving. And is not a descriptive word. And does not describe anything. Fast is a descriptive word. Furious is a descriptive word. Nit pickers. By taking every word that is said and counting them is foolish. Because by that standard if she had answered: 'Ok, i'd say my driving can be described as fast.' You say ha ha she's thick she used 10 words. So taking things in the context that they are actually said an intelligent person would say she used 1 word (fast) to descibe her driving. The real case in its complete context is that she said Text and Text. Text words used to Text her driving. I hope that has spelled it out to you. If you can tell me what the word Text describes i'll gladly borrow your hanky to wipe the egg from my face.

Sorry problem with the bold. Meant to read as follows:

You'd be saying three words. you'd be describing with two.

Fangz

Yes, but she described it as 'fast and furious'. She used three words, two to describe it, and one to link them together. She still used the word in her description.

I agree with Fangz. It doesn't exactly take a dictionary to figure out that 'Fast and Furious' is a phrase that consists of three words.

Ok. Put it this way. Use two words to describe me. You say
'arrogant and irritating'.
By your standard of reading things i could say ha ha you are thick you have used three words. In reality you have just used two.

All i'm saying is take things in context. I'm not saying that thery are not three words in that phrase. I'm saying in reply to the question if asked to describe something in however many words you count the words that are used for the description.

By your standard of reading things i could say ha ha you are thick you have used three words. In reality you have just used two. But, even if you are right (and I'm incredibly sure your not), she would have still used two words: Fast, Furious. That's not one word, is it?

Ok lets agree to disagree. Which ever way you want to look at it she didn't use one word. I was just annoyed that that people were nit picking and saying she used three. In my opinion i think technically she used two. The nit picking on how many words she used to justify calling her thick was getting on my nerves. Too many people are finding little unimportant things to bash Makosi with and justify their hate for her. Everyone has a right to their opionion. Opinions should at least be backed with some sort of substance. Thought counting someones words and then implying it proves that they are not smart enough to be a nurse was a weak argument. Ironically it turned out to be us arguing amongst ourselves about the use of the english language. At least it was a diversion for the hate that seems to spring up in these forums.

Fangz
29-08-2005, 07:24 PM
Okay, we'll agree to disagree.
I don't think I've said this makes her too thick to be a nurse, and if I did, I take it back.

Lance
29-08-2005, 10:27 PM
I think 'm agreeing with you here Fangz!!For once.

I think that Makosi used three words. She was asked to describe her driving in one word and she gave three, clearly.

ThaGazBoi
29-08-2005, 10:30 PM
And is just a connecting word. She couldnt say fastfurious because it wouldnt make sense
