prefer video entries or auditions?

which do you think produces the best housemates, video auditions or x-factor style auditions?

i prefer the videos as i enjoyed watching them.

I preferred the video auditions as well. You usually got to see more of what the housemate is like in their normal life.

Anyhoo, I prefer Auditions I just prefer to watch them and I feel they let you know a little more about the housemates.

A lot of people from here probably don't go on to bbfans, and vice versa - I don't for example - so I wouldn't have seen the question if it wasn't asked here. Anyway the title of the thread was quite self-explanatory...don't read it if you don't want to.

The trouble with the audition process that has been used lately is that people try too hard to do something different, and it often just ends up making them look stupid (I'm thinking of several of the auditions that were shown on E4 in the run up to the show - of people who didn't make it into the house). With video auditions, you can see people in their natural environment a bit more, and get more of an impression of what they are really like.

I perfer the non video additions as you see housemates for what they really are. The video additions could be all made up.!
