Recently in the past month I keep getting these really dizzy spells. It always happens when I stand up or walk into a room where the light was really different to where it was in the last room. (I mean like walking into a dark room after just being outside or something)

Does this happen to any of you? Do you think its something serious or is it probably to do with my age?

Please help.

Also dont tell me to go to the doctors about it cause I probably wont. I hate it there.

Is it like a blackout for around ten seconds when you stand up?

I think it's something to do with the blood recirculating into the parts of your body that have been cut off while you've been sat down, and because you stand up too quickly, you don't give it enough time, thus it cuts off some energy from your eyes.

I think it's something along those lines anyway...

yeah, I was dehydrated the other day though so ive made sure ive been drinking plenty since.

There are a lot of things that can cause these dizzy spells but the only way to rule out anything serious is to see a doctor, it could be you would only need to have your blood pressure and pulse monitored to find the most common cause, low blood pressure.

It could also be due to dehydration, low levels of iron in the blood (one form of anemia) low levels of mineral salts in the body (mineral deficiency), diabetes, or even heart disorders.

If it is a concern to you go to the doctors.

I don't think it's anything serious Nina. It might just be some sort of phase. You may have a bug of some sort. I'm sure it'll go away soon.
