We should not change the time.
Scotland can handle that.

Lighter nights, darker mornings.
On Shetland in December it becomes light at about 11 and gets dark at 2
In summer it never gets dark

I dont understand why we still change the clocks, it isnt really neccesary anymore

why
are you aware of when it gets light and dark at various locations in the UK?
Scarlett.

Yes, but do we really need to move the time around for it? It is pointless in modern day and just causes general confusion, problems with lateness, messes up sleeping patterns, its just a general kefuffle

it creates no problems unless you are an oaf or mentally bereft.

Or if you dont hear about the clocks moving forward, and it does have effects on sleeping patterns, it aslo affects farm animals, who do not know about the clocks changing and their sleep pattern gets muddled up because the farmers are coming out earlier to tend to them
It's pretty stupid really, I dont give a feck if it gets light at 3am, I wont be awake to see it will I?

Oh so its going to get dark now about 7PM +?
Thats good.
So what will it be like in the mornings?
Barbie
27-03-2010, 03:27 PM
This means instead of it getting light at 7am it will get light at 6am and it will get dark at 6pm instead of 5pm
Stacey.
27-03-2010, 03:28 PM
yeah.
so, it gets darker in the mornings right?
Barbie
27-03-2010, 03:30 PM
yeah, altho once its properly summer it only means it gets light at 5am instead of 4am lol, so you shouldnt notice the darker mornings only the lighter evenings unless you happen to get up at 4am
Niamh.
