That is quite amazing. I would not know the first thing to do to make something like that. Did it take you long?

Thanks, I made it on Adobe Flash, its quite easy to get used to (after the tutor explains it for the 10th time xD) for the enviroments, I used real life pictures of places and drew over them :) (apart from the park)

I can not believe what you are saying, LT.
You do not sound at all a bible reader.
How you could compare Chewy with Groening who is a professional.
This must be Chewy's first animation. I think it is very impressive.

You may think it is impressive but I do not. This has nothing to do with the Bible, which does not cover animation.
Platitudes are unhelpful to creatives.

Okay then Mr Miyazaki, why don't you show us all your animation masterpieces? Yeah I didn't think so....
Animation is hard, I did it for most of my media projects during my college years yet I'm a complete novice at it. Chewy's animation while it has some errors shows a lot of technical prowess, the camera movement (Something I never knew how to do) and the smoothness of the movement in particular are really well done. There's a lot of potential there.
Chances are it's a lot better then anything you could have done.
EDIT*: So is baseless comparisions and uneducated criticisms but that doesn't stop you now didn't it?

If the only qualification for criticism open to us was that we could only comment if we were eminently better than what we critique, what would be left?
I will leave the answer up to you to decide, mr knee-jerk.

You have a cheek to even criticise someone's post when you have a picture of the KKK as your avatar.

Okay then, if you had two months to make an animation, and you knew nothing about animation to begin with, what would you do? Also making sure you met the needs of a brief for the BBC?

I would not post it online and then wet my pants if someone dared to say it was less than great

I havent wet my pants, this is my first reply, asking your opinion of how you would do it, and how you would make it better
Also, the main reason I uploaded it was to get different opinions, to get my work to a distinction level, I want more of an opinion and less of a slagging off my work

Yeah but your criticism was pointless, what was the point of the comparision? Criticism for no reason serves no purpose, you could have at least said WHY you disliked it so that it could be more constructive.
I'm not saying that you need a knowledge of a subject to criticise I'm just saying if you are gonna criticise someone then make sure you can at least back yourself up or you'll look like a fool which you do remarkably well without all this.

you are correct, my apolz. How you make it better is to do it many more times and learn from mistakes.
telling you that it is amazing would be lying. it is what it is, a first attempt. Ultimately the script is far more important than the pictures, witness early Simpsons.
i doubt all this is news to you.

That's more like it :p I admit the script could have been better, but I spent a lot of the time in lessons learning how to animate and put the script back to the last minute, at one point I wasnt planning to have a VO, until my tutor pointed out that it would make the whole thing quite hard to understand. :spin:
