LOL - they usually let you out after a few hours so must have been a good one! In my one they made us miss the Lacrosse game, waited until the last train had gone then released us.........the taxi home was £120, but we made it drive around hometown, made the driver take us to the cashpoint, then made him drive us to a Club

the next day when i got out a went on a bus and tried to get a half fare, the driver got cross and shut the door and said "right, I am driving you to the police station"
needless to say my grovelling and enthusiasm to pay the full fare was unprecedented.

It was reported that I was in a house that I shouldnt have been in, there was no sign of forced entry, nothing was removed or appeared to have been stolen, so the police assumed that if I had been in the house I had used either a lock pick or a key that I was not entitled to have, lock picks and unauthorised copies of keys are classed as False instruments for entry.
Barstewards searched the house very thoroughly for that one, was not impressed.

hahahaha - after our one, the next week my pal's workmates made a fake letter to his home address with fake headed notepaper from the football club informing him they were so disappointed in his behaviour that he'd received a lifetime ban from the home games............he fell for it and had to hide the letter as had never even bothered telling his wife he'd been arrested

Not half as funny as some of the other arrests. Or the fact for all they searched the house looking for keys and lockpicks, they missed ammunition, my sons weed stash and a few other things that could have got me sent for a wee holiday for her maj.

My Uncle is ex-CID and has many hilarious stories of wrongful arrests. I'll never forget many moons ago at secondary school, the exam table allocated to me had the inscription written on it "God made all creatures great and small, some that creep and some that crawl, then Fife Constabulary employ them all" - after finishing my CSYS paper I giggled in wonder if the excellent poet passed his/her exam!

I have never actually been arrested but I beat up a girl outside her mothers house, spraint her arm etc.. Her mother rang the Gardaí (Police) but didn't know where I lived, she gave them my name though
Another time I was with my friend in a shop and she stole something and they thought I stole so they rang the Gardaí (Police :p) but I ran away before they got there.

I didn't know what to expect in this thread so that's why I did lie a bit, I didn't want to sound like a bad guy but as a lot of members here got into trouble so here is my full CV:
-About 4 times for over speed limit driving. I can't help myself, driving fast is awesome.
-Once for fighting in a bar but I didn't end up at the police station, they just warned me.
-3 times for fighting in bars + outside. I've been banned from this bars. I ended up in the police station but I managed not to get anything. My older sister came to get me because my parents would have killed me. They don't know that yet.
-Possibly once or twice for using my mobile while driving.
-I almost got arrested for swearing at a policeman. Back in 2006, I was 16, it was 4am, I was drunk, a policeman checked out of my friends and I were being cool then I told him to shut the **** up.
There we go.

There was an incident involving my car and some teenage boys a few years back, both driving on the motorway and they had their window down and were getting really aggressive towards us. I thought it was going to escalate so I rang the police and it turned out nothing did happen. The police weren't happy about me ringing them though lol, so they came to my house and gave me a lecture. So embarrasing.

Do some of these count? I'd imagined the definition of arrested involved being dragged-off to the police station "Possibly once or twice for using my mobile while driving" - I'd have imagined you'd remember if the police dragged you out once or twice.

I mentioned the times I got involved with the police. But the 3 times I ended up at the police station, I guess it does count. I really don't know how I got away from it to be honest. But I guess I played it well and told them what they wanted to hear at the right time.

Oh boy it happened to me in Italy ! I got fined but then I didn't pay it. Don't worry, I got to Italy every year with my family, we got fined so many times, they won't bite your ass back. Yeah well, it's not going to be the same in the next few months because fines will be European. :joker:

 my German and Dutch buddies tell me just to ignore the Dutch fine, but I have an irrational fear that I'lll be flying through Schipol sometime on the way to somewhere else and when I show my passport at Passport Control, I'll be arrested for non-payment of fine. hahahahahaha
Another mate has an unpaid speeding fine from Belgium when we were going to Spa for the Grand Prix............we feel banned from 2 European countries!!!!!!
