SATURDAY TV kids' shows CD:UK and SM:TV Live are back from the dead - and Jedward are being lined up to front them.
The spiky-haired X Factor twins are battling it out with Peter Crouch's fiancée Abbey Clancy to get the top spot.
ITV want to bring back SM:TV and sister music show CD:UK to pep up Saturday mornings.
The live shows aired from 1998 to 2006 and trounced BBC rival Live & Kicking, giving ITV their most-watched kids' programme since Tiswas in the 1970s and 1980s.
They also made huge stars of that other cheeky duo, Ant & Dec - who went on to host shows such as Pop Idol, I'm A Celebrity and Britain's Got Talent - and Cat Deeley who has carved out a Hollywood presenting career. At its height CD:UK regularly attracted 2.5 million viewers.
A source said: "CD:UK was a winning format. It was taken around the world and bosses at ITV always intended to bring it back.
"It's taken a bit longer than expected but the ball is really rolling now. There's plenty of buzz about it coming back."
Other host names in the frame include Britain's Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern and Big Brother's George Lamb.
But the Jed lads would get the TV world all of a quiffer.
