Kimberley Walsh is reportedly in talks to present this year's series of The Xtra Factor.

The spinoff has previously been hosted by Holly Willoughby, but reports have suggested that she will leave the show to focus on This Morning.

The One Show host Christine Bleakley has been linked to the programme in the past but the Daily Star claims that Walsh is now the frontrunner.

The 28-year-old has appeared on the show before, and her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole is on the X Factor judging panel.

"It's not 100% yet but it's looking more and more likely to happen," a source said. "Kim's been on The X Factor before, helping Cheryl at the judges' houses stage, and Simon Cowell thought she was great."

Walsh recently landed a job hosting a documentary about jeans.

I think Kimberly would probably be quite good. I think Fearne Cotton would be better though but apparently her and Simon don't get on. However I think Sam and Mark would be great!

Shame Holly is not going to be staying but she has a sprog and is better on This Morning!

Although I think she is probably the best of the bunch - I think girls aloud have been done to death now! Why not just hand the show over to them - and have done with it! :sleep:

Caroline Flack would also be a good one.
