Hiya people who are not even bothered about the petty arguments and don't even know what they are about... are we all having a nice evening? I'm pretty tired as work was extremely busy today but I'm just glad that I'm on the till now and not in the kitchen any more.. so much less stressful.

Aha good! I've never played Splinter Cell. My dad has it so I shall probably borrow it one day. I'm more of a COD person myself :P

Painted, watched the United match, played a bit of Fifa online and then came on to the usual rubbish here. Interesting reading though but I tend to ignore it all at this stage. Online poker is more fun, especially when you're winning.

Ah I see. I always find "Man in the mirror" brings back a lot of memories.. It's that kind of song that you can really reflect on.

Earth song was pretty much the song to my childhood. Me and my sister would grab onto random objects and pretend to be getting blown away like in the video :P

TiBB used to be great for banter.. you could take the piss.. and have a laugh, and nobody really got offended at stuff.. but now it's not good for that at all.
That's where it becomes a problem for me, cuz I take the piss, in general, in life, online, everywhere.. and if people take it all to heart and take it seriously then I look like a dick, and they go all 'victim' and look for sympathy.

I really feel like chips from the chippy with alot of vinegar... strange because I dislike both.

If it's any consolation, you don't look like chips from the chippy with loads of vinegar.

I totally agree. We used to be able to play elimination esque games without any worry of petty fighting.. as we knew if was all just for a laugh. A lot of members however tend to take the forum a bit too seriously to be quite frank and that is where the problem starts. I go to school, have a nice day with mates, go to work and have a nice time with my work colleagues and talk about everything. I then go to my nans' sometimes and go and see how she is. I get home, might do a bit of coursework if I have any and then check my facebook before coming onto TiBB for half an hour or so. It seems like some people are getting up, going to school, coming home and then going straight onto TiBB from 4 o clock until 10 o clock. Fair enough if you do that a few nights a fortnight if you have nothing better to do.. but a big surge of members seem to just do it every night and it's probably quite bad for their social life to be quite honest. These are the people that are constantly creating these petty arguments because they start to see the forum as their lives and that everything people say about them is a personal insult. Hopefully these people will soon realise that their lives are being centred around TiBB and give the forum a little bit of a rest before some of the less obsessive members (I think that's what I mean?) start to get annoyed and leave.

Accurate observation Lewis. If they have no life outwith the internet, they will take it more seriously.
It's quite sad really. The net should be for recreation.

I totally agree Lili. Hopefully the next new surge of new members after Big brother will not centre the internet around their lives as much as the current bunch of new members (Although I am totally aware that there are many brilliant new members who don't even care about all of these petty arguments and I apologise now for grouping you with these few members) and will see things with a bit less seriousness and have a bit more relaxed fun. It's a really good forum but some people seem to be ruining it for others.

I use the net for recreation, I keep a box of mansize tissues beside the monitor.
