Universal and Working Title have confirmed that Johnny English 2 will begin production this summer.

The project, which was first mooted last year, will see Rowan Atkinson reprise his role as the inept British secret agent from the 2003 comedy.

St Trinian's helmer Oliver Parker will direct the follow-up.

Though the modestly-budgeted Johnny English only pulled in $28 million at the US box office, it turned an impressive profit with $161 million in cinema ticket sales across the globe.

I fear Working Title have waited too long for this sequel. They could have missed the boat to really cash in the original films success. Should be interesting though! I liked the first one (although, I was 14 yars old at the time)

The original was probably the worst thing I've ever seen Rowen Atkinson in. Are they really serious about this?

you've not seen Bean on Holiday / Scooby Doo then?

it's not that bad...as a family movie it's good.
