wheel chair accessibility

i would like to start with compassion,
because in my eyes, everyone is starting to rations,
i am as disgusted as when they done the 10p tax reverse,
can anyone else feel my anger that i don't need to rehearse.
people in wheel chairs are not doing it through choice,
step in the joe, now that's a powerful voice.
from dustbin days that line the street,
its hard enough to get around and i am on 2 feet.
then the save the planet mission,
the green recycle bins are causing tunnel vision.
so before you moan about it, remember your luck,
people in wheel chairs don't deserve to get stuck.
what i am saying is not odd,
lets help people and remember , "there for the grace of god".

Unfortunately Joe, the government made a ham-fisted attempt to indroduce laws to ensure people in chairs could access all public buildings. As some cash-strapped charities and well-meaning local halls could not afford the cost of a ramp, they had to close or face prosecution. This lost the able-bodied the use of their local halls in some instances...........a lose/lose situation.

Hello Joe, hello everyone.

My husband is a wheelchair user.
We rather need more of these facilities.
You would not realise it until you are in the situation.

But yes I can see the cost side,,,.

One of my best mates from work is a chair user - for a lesson in trying to learn, he got us to use wheelchairs to try access the buildings we regularly use...................what a lesson that was! Even with 'wheelchair access' it is sooooooooooooooo difficult.

Afterwards I said I understand more of his difficulties. not being in a chair but the access is ridiculous
