No doubt some of the placings will be awful :\
rooting for Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks, Eddie Izzard, Bill Bailey and Woody Allen.

Is this the one they had the vote for a while ago?

I'm not sure. I thought at first it was a repeat. Going on the advert it's exactly the same as one I watched last year but as it says "2010" I figured not however how much can it change in a year? New stand ups are rare so I guess all (if anything) that will change is the placings :conf:
Either way, easy fun watch :)

I used to love Bill Bailey but his stand up seems to have suffered these days. Great on panel shows though. Very quick witted :D

I like him too, used to make me cry with laughter but he's a bit samey for me if that makes sense. Love his northern sense of humour though :)

agh, all but one of my favourites have fallen.
Hicks at 4...Izzard at 5...they should be higher.
Especially since Gervais was third :\
so Pryor or Connolly is first.

Believe me, Connolly is an absolute legend. Every gig I have of his on DVD is laugh out loud stuff and the most incredible thing about it is that he maintained his brilliance for so long, with his gigs from the 70's, 80's and 90's all having that mark of quality that you always expect from him. Nobody makes me wet myself as often as he does, you know?

Izzard in the top 5? Really? I think I'm just one of these people that never really "got it" with him. Too cuddly and "good-natured".

You say those like they're bad things :p
I just love how he can draw humour from the most mind-numbingly dull things, like the beekeeping thing. And Darth Vader in the canteen

Eddie Izzard is an amazing man but I've never taken to him as a comedian.
'Marathon Man' on the BBC (4 part series) following his marathons is outstanding

Aparently he does drag :p
Is he gay? (that isn't a sterotype question, I was just wondering)

Michael McIntyre was 9th.
Kerry
12-04-2010, 04:02 AM
I like Michael McIntyre but I can see myself quickly finding him boring as regards to stand up. He'll be better on panel shows now to keep his comedy refreshing and quit witted
