Can something be done about the spamming of the BB6 forum, please? I appreciate that it's not viable to lock old threads routinely. However, when people insist on dredging-up ancient threads, there's no reason for it other than to deliberately irritate the members that still want to post there. It makes it difficult to see what current topics are being discussed, and can only serve to deter members from browsing that forum at all. This has been pointed out to the member concerned on numerous occasions, both via U2U's and on the forum itself. It just goes on and on, spoiling things for the rest of the membership. Yet nothing has been done to stop it. Why?

Sure is confusing! Especially when they post one word which is normally "lol" which isnt needed at all...people seem to only do it to boost up there post numbers anyway:rolleyes:

If you need to boost your post numbers, go on countdown, or any of the other billion game-threads. This is done purely to annoy, IMO.

Yeah it does!
I've signed too. It's really annoying when old threads keep being resurrected.

i agree with what people have said over this, it is annoying
Thanks for bringing this up,
I think the best option is to create a sub forum in the BB6 forum called 'Archived posts'. Then whenever a thread in the BB6 forum hasn't been replied to in X days, to have it automatically moved into the archived area.
I'll have a word with James, and see if we can work something out,

Wouldn't it just be a lot easier to take action against those responsible?

Apparently not.

I think banning would make it more of an "issue" than it is plus then whats to stop several names being used again and again. The archive idea sounds good to me:spin2:

 Is the thread entitled 'let's demand that people we don't like very much are banned'? I think not. The point is that this has been going on for weeks, and those that are able to stop it ... haven't.

Something does need to be done about it. It's made the main section of this forum useless, and discouraged people from posting in it.
There were several good threads going until they were swallowed up by a load of old ones.
And to be perfectly honest, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Orlaith_Rules was banned. I can't actually remember him/her/it contributing anything useful (or coherent) to this forum.

The old threads have now either been closed or the new posts deleted.
Hopefully this poster won't repeat this.

Just about.
If you want to be a mod, I believe there is somewhere you can apply?

Oh get over yourself, you self-important, pompous, egotistical ****-stirrer. You stomp around the site picking fights (like you did with me in your first few days here), making demands and belittling members over little things just to feel superior.
Oh yeah and I still have those two vitriolic, patronizing and completely unprovoked U2Us sitting in my box you sent me - in your first week as a member - which I'll happily forward on to Mark (or anyone else who wants to read them) so he (or anyone else) can see what a foul, deeply unpleasant, two-faced arse you really are.

I am locking this post as it seems to have gone way off topic - James and Mark are trying to work this out.
