Anyone watching? Today's matches aren't great, admittedly, but I'm looking forward to the Ronnie match on Monday.
I'll try my best to update the thread as scores come in...but that's only if this thread gets posted in :joker:
Selby and Doherty looks interesting, but yeah, some of those matches look poor on paper.

I think Ronnie O'Sullivan is the fave but he's very unpredictable. Depends where his heads at! Legend either way

I'm not keen on John Higgins. Great player but theres something about him I don't like...
John Parrott announced his retirement this year. I saw him a couple of years back doing interviews with Hazel Irvine (she's tiny!!) and Steve Davis :D
I like Jimmy White too. So sad he's never won at the Crucible :(

What a great Davis/King match!!! Davis through - excellent. Grew up watching him :D
Ronnie is off his stride. Not looking good but through. Hope he picks it up but he's in the wrong frame of mind which for him is literally all or nothing. He'll either throw the towel and strop off or come out fighting more than ever

Maguire and Lee currently playing a very scrappy game

Have to agree about Ronnie, he seems very bored to me. I still hope he continues though and manages to beat Mark Williams.
I'd like to see Neil Robertson go further this year too. By far my second favourite player.
Getting a little tired of Ronnie being an on, off player to be honest, which is a shame because I'm a huge fan. If your hearts not in it anymore, best get out.
Loving Steve Davis ATM. Definate sentimental favourite.

Thats Ronnie though as he suffers chronic depression and literally from match to match swings one way then the other. He's thought about throwing the towel in for years but I think it's one thing he just can't ever let go of. He loves the game at the end of the day.

I pray Davis wins, i willl be exstatic if he does win....
Davis and Higgins 11-11 now. Come on, Davis!
Maguire is getting kicked around, 3 to 10/11 or something against Dott. Never liked Maguire. He looks like misery redefined.

Steve Davis. What a legend.
Higgins has beat him like 25 out of the 28 or so times they have met.
I bet he thought it would be a walkover.
I tip my hat to the legend Mr Davis.
:cheer::cheer::cheer:
Robertson is potting really well, and isn't to be overlooked. I was going to place a small outside bet on him, but when I looked at betfair it had him at 5.5-1. Was hoping for way better odds than that, so I guess it's common knowledge he is solid, and on form.
I hope Ronnie beats Selby, would be a nice revenge for their match earlier this year. I'd like to see Ronnie vs Robertson in the final, but I'm not sure the bracket can allow that to play out.

I think I've found a soul mate. Robertson and O'Sullivan are my two favourite players, I really do think a final between them would be class.
As far as I'm aware, it is possible (these are the Quarter Final matches);
Steve Davis (Eng) v Neil Robertson (Aus)
Ali Carter (Eng) v Shaun Murphy (Eng)
Graeme Dott (Sco) v Mark Allen (NI)
Mark Selby (Eng) v Ronnie O'Sullivan (Eng)
Copied and pasted from here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/snooker/8620855.stm)
Judging by the how the other previous round matches have been listed, it seems entirely plausible that Ronnie and Neil could end up in the final. Let's say Neil beat Steve Davis, he'd then go onto play either Ali Carter or Shaun Murphy [I think], and the same with Ronnie and either Mark Allen or Graeme Dott. Should they both win those semi-final's, they'd meet in the final. I think I'm right, anyway...

Ronnie has pissed me off a bit today. He was absolutely on fire the last round and has now come out being quite disrespctful to his opponent by watching the other match and sitting away from him instead of in his seat. He's also acting sloppy. Typical Ronnie blowing hot and cold but he's looking at the brink of doing something daft like chucking the game in if he doesn't pull his shots.
ACT TOGTHER TIME!!!!!!!!!

I think it directly affected Dott, i think i heard that anyway.
Such a stupid thing to have it start at 3.... why not 12???? that made me angry....also a lot more coughing from crowd than i had heard before......watched some highlights to make sure and some were deffo doing it on purpose.

As far as I can remember, the afternoon sessions on the final have always started at either 3PM or 2:30PM. No idea why though.
In relation to the other question, you could tell Dott was tired, but Neil was desperately trying not to make a mistake - and can you blame him really? It was the biggest match of his life and I'd certainly be taking things slowly. And it paid off, thankfully. I'd imagine if he made another final he'd be more relaxed now.

Yeah at one stage i thought he'd bottled it.....really thought dott would take it from him, then dott did the hit and hope shot...after that i think even dott knew it was over. Very gracious and endorsing of Neil though. Always liked both of them so was happy Neil got it.

Yeah, it was very close. Dott put up a good battle, I'll admit. Until Neil had stretched 16-13 in front, I still thought Dott would win.

Oh, of course. To say Robertson was playing his best would be stupid. He wasn't by any means. He was just cautious.
I'm still disappointed it wasn't a Robertson V O'Sullivan final, but there you go.
