Subject: Big Brother 11 Start Date

Hello.

Ive have heard rumours that a May launch is on the cards which would mean its starting next month. Now if it is then, I think you have done a very poor job of advertising it.

What I think is, for the impact I know Big Brother is worth, it needs to have a major marketing revamp. Nationwide billboards, radio adverts, cinema adverts, adverts on buses and at bus stops, that sort of thing. Now I know that maybe the bugdet will be a little stretched, and maybe it isnt possible. But as its the last series on C4, I think you need to up the ad campaign

Thinking back to the good old days of Big Brother 3, the hype around Big Brother was at its peak, and to make BB11 a success you really need to think outside the box.

Have adverts on TV that spark interest, not the usual 1 second eye flash, but a real head turning advert that will make people want to watch.

I'm really looking forward to this series, more so than previous series, as its the last one, and I want to saviour every minute that I possibly can.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, as I am sure you are a busy man.
I would like to know what you think so please don't hold back.

Kind Regards
Glenn Dines

This is his reply

Hi Glenn – thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate you taking the time to drop me a line. Rest assured that you (and everyone else!) will be in no doubt about exactly when the new series is launching, once this years campaign begins. I cant tell you anything about our plans for the campaign this year, but I’m really excited about it and I hope you’ll like it when you see it too.

David

Yeah at least it isnt one of those annoying Auto Replies they send back half the time.

I hope to god they use bill boards but I bet if they do it'll probably just be in ****ing London and the rest of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales wont have a billboard in site.

If you are telling the truth, at least it's not a stock answer. Well done :).

I did email the C4 Enquirys and they came back with a generic reply. Something about the series staring in a couple of months.

Well at least it's not a generic reply.

No the generic replies tend not to have basic grammatical errors in them like the one above.

the wording of david williams reply is very similar to the robotic way that channel 4 employees answer questions.
they say a lot yet say nothing so i would say it's a genuine reply
