I keep getting this thing up saying my laptop is on low memory, and that it has to shut down all windows progs and IE to store memory or something. But I've got ****loads :S Dunno what to do :/ What's that thing that gets rid of unused files? Defrag?

Should you clear cookies etc?

Hmm, how much do you have exactly? Where are you looking? Right-click "My Computer", go to Properties and have a look.

Its not memory on your hardrive its running low on its RAM memory thats running low. Close down, and if need be uninstall unnecessary programs you have running in the background. Get a decent program to not only monitor whats running but also clean your registry periodically.

Make sure you use a decent anti malware program as opposed to several cheap ones and scan your whole computer regualrly, and then bin all old processes you have running you dont want or require.

Yeah, as Shasown said, it's probably your RAM, which is entirely different from hard drive memory.

Did a disk cleanup and deleted some uneeded progs, hopefully should be ok for now. Cheers for the replies guys.
