View Full Version : Big Brother and other UK reality shows to be shown on Canadian Global Reality Channel

Winnipeg - All reality all the time, this new channel on the Canadian television grid will offer viewers a one-stop destination for the most popular reality programming from around the world.

The new specialty channel will launch on July 1, 2010 and feature popular reality franchises from around the world, including past and present broadcasts of The Apprentice UK, Survivor and Big Brother UK.

Other programs which have been confirmed for the July launch include Deal or No Deal Canada, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Project Runway Canada, Fear Factor , X-Weighted.

Reality shows are the second highest rated programming after dramatic productions, according to Channel Canada. The difference for TV networks is that the "reality" format is much cheaper to produce and consequently acquire. This can be an important factor in the television networks' ongoing battle to secure sponsorship.

"Reality viewers have a voracious appetite for this type of programming and we are pleased to offer them a place to discover new shows for the first time." said Barbara Williams, Exec VP of Content for Canwest.

The Canadians love BBUK and hate BBUSA so this should be a treat for them.
And its airing in USA too.

Cant wait to see the ratings from the UK, Canada and America all added up together :p

Hey, if they like somthing as boring and fake as BBUSA they will love somthing as entertaining and amazing as BBUK.

I think BB UK is miles better but the Americans don't seem to like the European stuff at all. They'd probably need sub titles too:joker:

If 2 shows are running at the same time
you press red button to get split screen with Audio levels you can adjust.

I think they are just jealous of us tbh LOL Which is why they take half our shows and name it their own because they didnt think of it first pmsl.

And yes very true :joker: I dont know if Cheryl Cole is a judge on this idiotic XF USA thing? But if she is I cannot wait to see how they react to her accent.

A) You're generalizing all Canadians saying they all hate BBUSA which is not true.
B) BBUK isn't airing in the USA.
