I am just wondering how she did in deportation her appeal? Has she got permission to stay in the UK?
Thanks.

Still fighting deportation as far as i know...
Yeah the last I heard was that she had 10 days to appeal, but I don't know when those 10 days started from.

people are so sad!
If they spend there whole time praying makosi gets deported they must really have a lot of time on their hands.
I hope you also have your fingers crossed all the terroists , paedophiles and murderers are deported too?
There are far more things i would pray about tan some reality tv contestant being deported

Nobody mentions 'praying' for anything in this thread. If any of those people are currently residing in the UK after abusing the conditions of their Visas, then yes, of course. Yes, there are. But this about a former reality tv contestant that's currently leaching illegally from the UK economy.

Why would I want the murderers and paedophiles deported? That would just be lumping another country with our problems.
Makosi going back to her country of birth, on the other hand, is what should happen if she's staying in the country whilst abusing her visa conditions. If she went back to nursing, my views might be different.

Have you guys noticed that in every discussion about Makosi, there are about 5 people against Makosi for every 1 person for her? Yet that annoying individual always seems to stand their ground, going on about how everybody in the country is sad if they dislike Makosi, and that she should stay? Get a life.:rolleyes:

She shouldnt be treated any different to any other person.
No she shouldn't be treated any differently to how any other person who is here illegally should be treated...if she is here illegally then she should be deported.

They gave that England cricket coach - who is from Zimbabwe - permanent residency today.
They could do the same for an ex-Big Brother housemate.

If she goes back to work as a nurse maybe they will renew her visa.
It is wrong, but we recruit a lot of nurses and doctors from third world countries because we are very short of trained staff.

Most recent article I can find, posted 2nd September
QUOTE "Makosi was permitted to enter and remain in the UK because she worked as a cardiac nurse, a job she quit to appear on Big Brother.
"Terrorists are treated better than me," she said of the probe. "Terrorists don't even go through that. Terrorists are paid £2,000 a week to look after their health and stuff. A lot of illegal immigrants are paid to stay in this country and are fed by taxpayers.
"I am here paying my taxes and working but I'm treated like a thug. The immigration person took four hours to come out. They took my fingerprints and a DNA swab from inside my cheek. I felt like a criminal. It was not nice at all."
Although Makosi eventually plans to return to nursing, she claims that she cannot do so just yet for the health of the patients. "If I was Mary or Lesley or even Saskia and I was a nurse, I could go back to nursing because they are not in the papers or magazines every day. But I couldn't walk back on to a ward now. Instead of reversing heart attacks, I would cause heart attacks."
Makosi is now planning to appeal over the revocation of her visa."

I think with Saskia's recent photo shoots - she would be more likely to cause heart attacks in the wards, especially the males -
and, James, I think Englands cricket coach has proved himself
a lot more that a reality tv housemate !!! you really cannot
compare the two !
Well Makosi is missing the point about Mary, Lesley or Saskia being able to return to their old jobs if they were a nurse - none of them are here illegally are they? Mind you, I wouldn't fancy being looked after by any of them!

The fact still remains she broke her visa conditions...that is WRONG and no matter if she thinks she is some celeb now or not she broke the visa conditions therefore she should be kicked out. It would be sending out the WRONG message and making the Uk and easy target for others who will be thinking hey should i appear on the next big bro then get to stay in the country...Makosi has to be deported...then if she wishes to return then fair enough.

I think that no matter what the decision it will be front page news - after all there is nothing else happening in the world that could mean more to the british public than princess Makosi hopefully getting deported.
I wonder if we will be able to get eviction night tickets for that show lol

are you being sarcastic? Okay i can understand people not liking Makosi (i disliked housemates too such as max saskia and derek ) but how can you say "there is nothing that would mean more to the british public than Makosi being deported"
Honestly there are alot of things that i'm sure would mean more to people that a reality tv contestant being deported and if there isnt well you certainly take big brother FAR to seriously!
Do you even watch the news? I'm only 17 but i'm clued up as to whats happening at the moment in the world and i'm pritty sure people have a lot more to worry about then that.

Even makosi is liking this situation she is in once again the more people talk about it the more her bank balance is rising. Whether we show an interest in her now is out own individual decision. In my opinion she broke the rules of her visa and she should be deported no matter what, no ifs or buts!

Yes there was sarcasm in there and yes I do watch the news but since this is a BB forum I am talking about BB housemates.
I am not here to talk about the world and all that is bad in it I have enough of that day in day out in the job that I do so please dont even try to lecture me on the real world! I have worked in child protection, I have worked with drug addicts so I am aware of the world around me and am mature enough to realise that sometimes you have to let it go and have a laugh!

Wow calm down! This isn't a forum for discussing what's happening in the world is it? It's a forum for discussing Big Brother:spin2:

Family in fervent prayers for Makosi to remain in UK
Stanley Kwenda
9/15/2005 8:33:49 AM (GMT +2)
THE saying that "wherever you lay your head is home" has proved to be true for Zimbabwean cardiac nurse Makosi Musambasi, who is fighting to continue living in the United Kingdom, a place she has called home for the past five years.
While she fights for her right to remain in England after thrilling the British public with her sex-spiced antics during Big Brother UK, her family in Harare has embarked on a programme of fervent daily prayers.
"We are praying daily for Makosi so that she gets the legal documents which will enable her to remain in the UK where her heart is. We wish her good luck in everything that she does," said Richard Musambasi, Makosi's father.
Makosi has expressed a wish to continue living in Britain and has threatened to flout the law and stay as an illegal immigrant if her appeal against her impending deportation fails.
"I am worried and scared. Back in Zimbabwe I have been judged for things I have done that African people do not like. I would like to stay in Britain. I have been saving British lives and I could save more," she told The Sun newspaper last week.
If her appeal fails after the 10-day deadline expires this week, she might well find herself on the next flight back to Harare.
Her family however is confident that nothing of the sort will happen.
"Everything is under control, we are praying and I talked to her over the weekend and she assured us that nothing will happen to her as her lawyers are working round the clock to make sure that she remains in the UK .She told us that she had only made a small mistake, of not notifying the Home Office of the change in her circumstances and this had caused all the confusion," said Musambasi.
Asked what he thinks of his daughter's new status as a showbiz personality, which has seen her posing, nude for newspapers, he said she is an adult who makes her own choices. He said, "She is a grown up person who should choose her own path. We thank God who gave her all the blessings and talent, she can do whatever she wants."
Meanwhile, the controversial former cardiac nurse was last week embroiled in fresh controversy after she was accused by two debt-collection companies of not paying back a car loan. In0 another incident she was booted out of a celebrity function after she got drunk and started verbally abusing guests.

She should be deported otherwise the whole legal system when it comes to other visa's etc will be put into doubt and it will be stupid. Makosis family are still grabbing the medias attention they are all cashing in while she still can grab headlines.
